I'm attaching for your review and approval a draft Federal Register
notice announcing release of the draft chapters of the national
communication on ,climate change. Once you have approved this, I will
distribute it with your changes for inter-agency review and approval and
then ask Jeff Holmstead to sign it prior to Nov. 15.
In particular, note that I have said that we will miss the Nov. 30
UNFCCC deadline and will submit the national communication'by late
January. In addition, depending on how you want to proceed with the
projections chapter, I have said in the notice that all of the chapters
will be available for review except the executive summary and the
projections chapter. State will write the executive summary after they
return from COP-7. As of today, all of the main chapters except 4 and
5 have been distributed for interagency review.
Best regards,
Reid
