In the News
Earlier this month, Algeria's Parliament passed several amendments to the constitution, including guaranteeing the
right to practice one's faith and giving official status to Tamazight, the language of the Berber people. Most of the
believers in Algeria's growing churches are Berber. Pray that reforms would be enacted quickly, allowing freedom to
witness to others in this 99%-Muslim nation, and to distribute more Bibles to meet the great demand. A presidential
decree stating it is illegal to shake the faith of a Muslim overrides the Constitution and still stands. Pray that God
would work a change in the heart of the president, for his own salvation and for the sake of all who need to hear.
