I.

Company Introduction

Seer Technologies is a software consultancy, design, development and

managed-services company focused on mobile, cloud, and data
technologies. They make mobile apps, websites, or other services for
their clients. In over 11 years, they have worked with enterprises of
different sizes and handled a variety of challenging requirements.
They are also venturing to other software options like games and
graphics. They are also an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Managed
Partner, which allows us to deliver and manage mobile and web backend solutions anywhere in the world.

In our interview with them, they wrote

design at the core strong technical skills, combined with
creativity and empathy. Having our base in the Philippines,
whose people are world-renown for these traits, gives us a
unique advantage.

We have over 50 software professionals who get their skills not

only through mentorship and experience in projects, but also
through extensive research, experimentation, and
entrepreneurship. To encourage this, we have a formal program
called Seer Labs that incubates employee-founded startups. Each
year, we allocate 10% of our revenues to Seer Labs.

clients include BPI, Seaoil, Rappler, Globe, the Manila Hotel, and
more.

II.

Mission Critical Information Systems

The mission critical systems at Seer Technologies include its business
development processes, the project management systems, and the
reusable code repository. The business development processes include
customer acquisition and retention cycle. The project management
systems ensure that projects meet cost, schedule, and quality
specifications. The reusable code repository is a system of keeping

inventory of reusable program routines so that we can facilitate

program development.
III.

Choice of Information System to Develop

Criteria for development include ease of implementation, feasibility,

and impact.

The project considers most what is urgently needed by the

organization that will bring the most long-term benefits and impact in
the most cost-efficient and timely manner.

Currently, developing the library of reusable subroutines is the most

cost efficient project to undertake at the present. The project will allow
developers to quickly access an index of commonly used functions in
the company when building new applications in projects that the
company undertakes. The long-term savings in project times,
increasing project completion turnover times, is estimated to be 20%
per project.

The Business Case

The project is estimated to cost roughly PHP 165,000 as initial capital
