History
Shaily Engineering Plastics Ltd (Shaily) had its humble beginnings in 1987 with 2 injection
molding machines at Halol, Gujarat (Western most part of India). Shaily was setup by Mike
Sanghvi to fulfill a gap in the market by providing precision engineering plastic moulded
components. Traditionally since its inception Shaily has always specialized in manufacturing
plastic components from high performance and ultra high performance polymers, however
Shaily now also processes all commodity polymers in high volumes as well. In 1994 Shaily
setup its second facility at Rania, Gujarat that is now the company's headquarters.

ISO Class 8 Clean room molding facility.
Shaily has also added an IBM for manufacturing of pharma packaging (bottles).

Tooling:Shaily is fully equippedfor mold maintenance including manufacturing of spares; core and

Intensive fail safe maintenance program ==> 4x tool life (tools have run 4,000, 000 shots)

Production tooling is manufactured by sub-suppliers in Taiwan. Shaily manages the process

along with approval of mold designs
Very good understanding of complex molds; hot runners, split molds with hydraulic core pulls,
Stack molds & insulated runner molds

Conclusion
After completing the report and going through all the topics i found out the Shaily Engg.uses
top class tools for their production purposes,processing of polymers,injection moulding etc.The
one main thing I noticed during our industrial visit was that the company maintains all safety
rules and regulations,which in turn helps in increasing the job satisfaction of the workers and
makes them feel safe.

In the end I would like to thank the management for taking us on the industrial visit
which gave me a lot of experience about workplace enviornment.
