Chosen Scenario:

Antibiotic Resistance

Target Audience
For my target audience, I chose to focus on children. I
want my animation to be similar to a campfire ghost
story, a folk tale, an urban legend or a creepy bedtime
story. Although I want my target audience to be kids
interested in scary monster stories, I hope it will appeal
to older audiences too. While I want my animation to be
atmospheric and engrossing, I also want it to be
informative. I looked into different books, films and
games to see what sort of scary stories children are
attracted to and different art directions I could take. This
includes the Goosebumps books, In A Dark Dark Room,
films by Tim Burton, TV shows such as Courage the
Cowardly Dog, and games such as Limbo and The
Binding of Isaac. I plan on keeping my animation simple
to avoid confusing my audience. To do this I currently
plan to have a narration over my animation to explain
how bacteria become resistant to antibiotics in an
engaging way. By keeping the characters the focus of my
animation by making the environment simple, I hope to
keep the audiences attention on my characters. More
