The photo and essay contests are aimed at providing an opportunity for
Korean nationals and foreigners residing in Korea to understand and respect
each other. Everyone, regardless of age, gender, and nationality, can
make entry into the contests.
- Submit your entry on the website of Together Day at www.togetherday.kr
between March 7, 2016 (Mon) and March 31, 2016 (Thu).
- ONLINE submission only
The Korea together with Worlds People Essay Contest has 2 competition
categories : foreigners residing in Korea and Korean nationals (naturalized
Koreans included)
- If you have any interesting anecdotes to share about your struggle to adjust to
life in Korea as a foreigner or a naturalized Korean, or about an experience of
getting along with foreign friends, please write down your story and submit it
to the website.
Please note that entries must be written in KOREAN.

1. Contest Overview
Entry Eligibility : Foreigners residing in Korea and Korean nationals (men
and women of all ages)
Entry Category : Writings on personal experience
Foreigners residing in Korea : marriage migrants, foreign workers,
international students, ethnic Koreans with foreign nationality and any other
people who are living in Korea with foreign nationality
Korean nationals : ordinary Koreans, naturalized Koreans, family members
of naturalized Koreans, employees or volunteers of foreigner assistance
centers, mentors or supporters of marriage migrants, and any others who
have Korean nationality

3. How to Enter
Entry Requirements
Length : no longer than three A4 pages
(Entrants must comply with the specification requirements)
- Submit in MS word or Hangul file format
- Use 12 point Sinmyeongjo font with 160% spacing and 15mm
top/bottom, 20mm left/right and 15mm header/footer margin
Submit the essay with your application form
- Download and fill out the application from on the Together Day website at
www.togetherday.kr
Please include the name, address, and contact details of the entrant; the
title and the category of the entry on your submission. Make sure to check off
the box which means that you have read and consented to the use of the
Personal Information given on the application form.

Korean nationals
Winners of top excellence and excellence award will be presented with the
Commendation of Minister of Justice.
5. Entry Rules
Entries must be written in Korean.
Each entrant can make a maximum of ONE entry to the corresponding
category.
ONLINE submission only.
Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and must never have been
previously published at home and abroad.
Award-winning entries will be posted on the Together Day website or any
other contest organizers website.
No entries will be returned. Submission of any entry acknowledges the right of
Ministry of Justice to use it for exhibition, promotion, and publication in any
medium.
Any entry found to have been plagiarized or have won a prize in another
contest will be disqualified, and the prize and reward will be asked to return
to the organizer.
For the receipt of the prize, the winners of top excellence award and
excellence award must attend the 9th Together Day Commemorative
Ceremony which will be held on March 20, 2016

Winners must submit original file more than 2Mb (If it is not submitted,
awards may be revoked)

For the receipt of the prize, the winners must attend the 9th Together Day
Commemorative Ceremony which will be held on March 20, 2016.
4. Entry Rules
Up to 3 entries are allowed per person, but only one prize will be awarded
per contest winner.
Entries to Eyes of the Worlds People should only be submitted ONLINE via
the entry site.
Photos awarded in other contests and composites will be excluded from the
contest, and only photos taken by the entrant him/herself will be rendered
eligible for the contest.
No entries will be returned. Any entry found to have been plagiarized or have
won a prize in another contest will be disqualified, and the prize and reward
will be asked to return to the organizer.
By entering the Contest, entrant represents and warrants that the submitted
photograph is entirely the work of the entrant and does not infringe on the
portrait, moral rights of the author or other intellectual property rights.
Entrants shall bear sole civil and criminal responsibility for any conflicts
arising with regard to infringement of such rights and laws.
Award-winning entries might be presented during the Together Day
Commemorative Ceremony or through any other online media. And they
shall be used for the promotion of Together Day and the immigration policy
of the Ministry of Justice.

A story of a Russian marriage migrant. During the time of her father staying
in Korea, she was taught by her father Korean traditions and culture such as

understand many things and learn many lessons that she didnt know even
though she had been living in Korea.
