Bargaining unit jobs standardisation and re-grading was completed in March 2015. Human Capital Management then
embarked on the process to re-grade and standardise all T11-M18 positions. This process is on track and to-date, we
have only twenty five (25) positions outstanding. We are on track on this project and anticipate project completion by
the end of the 2015/16 financial year.

2.1 Consultation
The consultation with the two unions, NUM and NUMSA is progressing well and the parties are having meaningful
engagements with regards to the above project. Consultation meetings with these unions have taken place on the
following dates in 2015
Monday, 12 October 2015
Thursday, 26 November 2015
Friday, 4 December 2015
Tuesday, 8 December 2015
We will continue with these union consultations and close off any outstanding issues.
2.2 Where are we to date?
The terms of reference have been concluded.
2.3 The way forward
We will resume the consultations in January 2016 and start to engage each other on the key issue of developing the
pay progression principles.
3.
This project relates to the automation of the recruitment process whereby internal and external candidates can apply
for vacancies online using Share Point.
3.1 Where are we to date?
We implemented Share Point for employees in the T11 M18 categories as well as external candidates.
These candidates are now applying for vacancies using share point and no longer apply manually.
4.
Implementation of Share Point for internal employees in the T10 T07 categories. This will mean employees
in these categories who have access to a computer/laptop will be able to apply for vacancies via share point,
and those employees who do not have access will still apply manually until the company has addressed the
issue of hardware and access.
The objective of this project is to move from a manual/paper based performance management contracting process to
a system based contracting process. This will apply to employees in the T11 M18 categories
4.1 Where are we to date?
Super user and Train-the-Trainer training has been concluded for identified HCM and IM employees.
Pilot of the SAP system has also been concluded.
