Ramco HCM Suite


Ramco HCM is a global talent management application that is designed to handle proliferating
employment, measurement, and wage models. Its flexible architecture paves the way for an
integrated HR services experience. Beyond its ability to address the needs of multiple industry
verticals, the product differentiates itself through MUSICMobility, Usability, Social, In-memory
and Context Awarewhich is the underlying product strategy of all Ramco products.
Advancements in technology and social channels necessitate business applications to leverage
these trends and engage with the new age workforce.
Ramco HCM understands the needs and challenges of a global workforce, the diversity in HR
policies, and it allows for adequate exceptions handling. Our global payroll covers 40+ countries
and is expanding rapidly. Subscribing organizations may choose from a variety of talent
management capabilities such as recruitment and on-boarding, training, performance
management, e-learning and payroll. It can be deployed on a multi-tenant cloud or offered as a
managed service. Organizations may deploy it process by process or draw from the benefits of its
integrated flow and subscribe to it fully. It is also capable of seamless integration, not only with
other legacy applications, but also with 3rd party social media, accounting, and jamming
platforms.

anywhere, anytime. The employee can now manage multiple self-service transactions on the go.
Similarly, the Manager can complete multiple transactions pertaining to their teams, while away
from the desk including while commuting, traveling on work, at home or in a meeting.

Wizard Interface
Ramco's UI, called the Wizard Interface, works with the basic premise of 'fun with
intelligence', allowing the user to manage information aesthetically. The key drivers here
are: ERPs should be easy, plain and simple to learn, should remind the user when to do
what and reduce potential mistakes that happen while using it.
Wizards are a sequential arrangement of activities for a purpose. System wizards are
pre-packaged as a part of the solution while custom wizards are the ones that enable
users to build their own wizards. In simple terms, the wizard interface, makes sure that
the application is simple, hiding all the complexities behind, at the same time giving
access to it when needed.

Mobility
Availability of information anywhere anytime is critical to todays business leaders as
they are always under pressure to meet business targets. Mobility is important to multitask and complete business priorities and deliverables on the go.
Mobility is also about ease of user experience. Ramco HCM solutions on the mobile
device have been designed with the philosophy, If you can use your device, you can use
our solution. This means that the usability of the solution lends itself to being used
without any training. Ramco HCM has been conceptualized and delivered with a
thorough understanding of the devices capabilities, usage scenarios and the users skill

allows configuration of policies, based on parameters that can be fine-tuned easily to
meet ever-changing business demands.
Exception riders can be set up by company, department, position, employee type and
other organizational attributes, thereby automating complex payroll calculations. Ramco
Global Payroll comes with the option of in-memory capabilities using Ramco Minnal a
path-breaking optimization engine. Using in-memory processing and advanced
optimization techniques, the processing time for thousands of employees are reduced
from hours to a few minutes, saving precious computing costs and improving the payroll
cycle time.

Talent Management
Talent Management functions like Performance and Development Management are an
integral part of the Ramco HCM offering. The content can be split into three distinctive
parts: Objectives-based Assessment, 360 Degree Appraisals, and Potential Appraisals. As
businesses experience increasing economic flux, including quicker time to market,
increasing revenues or even growing the market reach, there is a need to dynamically
organize the global workforce and assess them on parameters relevant to the business
context. The underlying systems must support this need and should be easily
configurable, based on market stimulus. Organizations aim to improve the granularity of
their assessment systems and shorten the assessment time period.
Employee Tagging and Talent Pool
In addition to supporting a mature 3-tier competency model, Ramco HCM lets customers
use a simple social concept to a greater effect. Tags are an additional, simpler, social and
personal means to identify an employees capabilities. These can complement the
organizations existing methods of classifying talent. A powerful adjective used as a tag
can sometimes convey clearer, more powerful picture of an employees capabilities than
a detailed competency model.
Tags can be tuned to an organizations geography, industry, business line and its
priorities. And since they are simple and easy to maintain, they stay relevant to an
organizations current context.
A tag cloud provides a quick insight into an organizations talent - capabilities that are
abundant and those that are scarce. This view enables an organization to make the
necessary talent interventions to improve its capabilities in areas which are required for
its present as well as future well-being.

The 9 Box
Ramco HCM supports 9 Box chart, which is a visual aid that enables Talent Managers to
compare an employees potential with his/her actual level of performance. The
predominant idea behind 9 Box is that the organization should be able to create role
models out of their star employeesemployees with high potential and high
performancefor others to follow/emulate.
Behavioral Model
The employees standard of business conduct can define the customers experience with
the company. A behavior is normally understood as a set of actions that employees
follow at work. When this is consciously defined by the organization and imparted
through training programs, employees are able to perform consistently. For instance,
this may include the manner in which employees greet and elicit business requests at a
services desk. Ramco HCM enables the definition of critical business behaviors (conduct)
for key positions and the measurement of adherence through surprise checks or formal
audits. The results of good behavior are usually a cash reward or gamified rewards.
The process ties into Ramco Training and Payroll.
Perspective Model
This process permits Talent Managers and business leaders to set targets for employees
through four parameters financial, learning, process and customer. The idea is that
profit center heads and key position holders optimize what they do from every
perspective and be rewarded for doing so; for instance, cutting costs alone would not be
an achievement when it means lower customer satisfaction levels. To an extent, this
process is successful in an environment where actions are traceable to their end from
various perspectives. Thus, it complements granular accounting process, audits that
check process compliance, employee training and a credible process to measure
customer satisfaction. The process permits subscribers to achieve a greater level of

Talent Score Card
Ramco HCM helps in getting a holistic view of an employees data through the Talent
Score Card, which represents key information about an employee. This can be used
during a review process or in general and includes:

Career Planning leads a user through a series of career models implemented for an
organization in Ramco HCM. Depending upon the employees competency an
appropriate career model may be selected. Ramco HCM facilitates an organization to
define the growth path of its employees and the different growth opportunities available
to them. Through a self-service feature, it enables employees to record their career
aspirations. The career paths available are accompanied by development programs at
each stage, enabling employees to move up in their chosen career path. Career Planning,
supported by Ramco HCM, serves as a useful input for the organizations succession
plans.

Ramco HCM allows you to select employees to succeed retiring/existing personnel on
the basis of a competency match. The selection can be made on the basis of multiple
decision support parameters such as experience, employee preference, and employee
performance among others.
Ramco HCM enables Talent Mangers to calibrate, evaluate and rank both internal and
external talent for a given key position, so as to have a clear idea of the top 5 or 10
candidates who are best fitted to succeed. The feature enables the organization to
