Teacher&Course evaluation:

Once I inquired my senior fellow about the Islamic studys teachers. He suggested me that I
should take a course from Dr. F Aziz. I registered Islamic Jurisprudence from Dr. F Aziz in the
summer semester.

From the very first day I even do not know the meaning of jurisprudence, but later on I
come to know the depth of this particular term on the behalf of my teacher. In the beginning, the
teacher gets through the whole content of this course. She tells us the content of course that was
very helpful for us, it gives us the idea what we would be doing in the coming classes. In the
very first class she taught us about the Islamic jurisprudence, in this class I would be able to
understand the meaning of Islamic jurisprudence. I come to know the role of jurists in Islam.

From the coming week, she started teaching about lives of Arab before the arrival of
Islam. She gave detailed lectures on the customs, rituals, and conventions of Arab society before
Islam. In this duration we efficiently comes to know about the customs and rituals of Arabs
society, how they used to live, how they used to merry, how they used to punish the culprits, how
they used to trade, how they used resolve the disputes, who was the chief of tribal, what was the

importance of leaders in the everyday life of Arabs. As the Maam teaching method is very
effective. She makes use of both English and urdu, in this way every student capable to perceive
the each and every word that is she utters.

With the passing days we she concluded the lectures on Arabs lives before Islam and we
started to proceed. Then she started the arrival of Islam. She taught us what Islam likes form the
pre-customs and what dislikes. She tells us that whatever Islam likes from the pre-customs, it
comes under the rules of Islam. Then she started lectures about the primary sources of Islam. She
tells us that Quran and Sunnah are the primary sources of Islam. It means Quran and Sunnah are
in fact the basis of Islam. Every matter that is under consideration would be refer to both these
firstly, in case if it not found profoundly in both these then the jurists would make use of
secondary sources. There were detailed lectures on the primary and secondary sources in Islam.
Ijtihad, Qiyas, Ijma etc are the secondary sources in Islam. She tells us the conditions for a jurist.
No one can become easily a jurist. It needs to be a magnificent memory; one should be expert in
Arabic language as well.

This was the content that we were supposed to study during this session. Throughout the
session I keenly attended the class, because I was getting the every single word of my teacher.
The way she used to teach is fabulous. She makes use of English as well as Urdu, which proves

very helpful for me. Before the beginning of lecture she wrote the whole content of topic on the
white board, in this way in could easily noted down the whole lectures content. Then she started
from the first content and explains magnificently. She can elaborate the content because she has
grip over the subject. After explaining the whole content she makes group in the class and gives
time to the student to discuss with each other. I think it is very helpful for us, because in this way
we could understand further things that we missed during the lecture time.

After that she assigned us an assignment. In this assignment we were supposed to do a

critical analysis on the current scenario of Pakistans democracy, whether it is flourishing in the
light of Quran and Sunnah or it is away from them. In this way we come to know about the
constitution of Pakistan. I studied a lot about the current situation of Pakistans democracy either
it is delivering or not.

From the very beginning, maam told us about the presentation week. In the last two
weeks we did presentations as these were already part of our course. She made groups in the
class and assigned each a particular topic. In this duration I come to know about the different
topics in detail. Initially the supposed group present in the class and after that maam further
explains it, so that those students who did not get during presentation could be able to understand
it and the group itself.

It was a good time that I spent in this class, I found a best teacher in this duration, she
taught me several things that I mostly needed to know about them. On the behalf of my teacher,
now I am able to explain someone about the Islamic Jurisprudence. I know the sects in Islam and
know the reasons on what they are divided, what are differences among them. Now I can easily
differentiate between them. By viewing all the advantages that I get from this course on the
behalf of my teacher, I am willing to take one more course from Dr. F Aziz, so that I could get
more advantage from her knowledge. The whole session was amazing, the whole class was
good, whoever I needed, who supported me.

Now I conclude my evaluation by saying that it was a superb course and teacher as well.
Maam way of teaching is amazing. She teaches in a very easy way. She has a grip over the
course. I will suggest my fellows to take at least one course from this teacher. In my hostel, I told
my senior fellow about the course and the teacher, he said that it would cause assistance to you in
your CSS. I am very happy, because I have learnt a lot in this course and I am very satisfied by
the attitude of my teacher. She never disappointed me in the class. At last I will only say, maam
you are my best teacher, may you live long
