Competition Rules
1.

Administration
a. Shrewsbury International School (SHB) will be responsible for the administration of
the tournament.
b. Play will be governed by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and the
local rules of Lotus Valley Golf Resort, Thailand.
c. The Thailand Golf Association will provide three referees to enforce and advise
competitors regarding R + A and local rules.
d. The Tournament Director, in consultation with the TGA referees, will adjudicate any
protests, claims, questions, or doubts arising from the tournament and his decision
shall be final.

2. Conditions of Entries
a. The tournament is open to all schools within the Bangkok International Schools
Athletic Conference (BISAC).
b. Flights will be determined from the participants age on the day of the tournament.
c. The draw will take place on WEDNESDAY 23RD MARCH. Entries will not be
accepted after this date.
d. Entry fee per student: 2,750 Baht to include green fee, caddy fee, tournament fees,
dinner buffet.
3. Conditions of Play
a. Individual Competition gross scores counting.

b. Boys and Girls, all Flights, will play 18 holes stroke play, gross scores counting
towards both the Individual Competition and the Team Competition.
c. The Team Competition Winners will be determined by combining four low gross
scores. HOWEVER the Team totals MUST include scores from at least one boy and
at least one girl; AND a score from at least two different flights is required.
d. Ties for the first place in the individual, team and the overall best gross position will
be settled by a card count back. Ties for all other places shall be decided by the
SHB Tournament Committee. The decision of the Tournament Committee is final
and binding.
e. The Tournament Committee wishes to draw the attention of all participants to the
rules regarding slow play and undue delay. Breach of Rule 6-7; Stroke Play 2
strokes; for repeat offence DISQUALIFICATION.
f. Participants must report to the starter ten minutes before their stipulated times.
Participants are reminded of Rule 6-3 If the player arrives at his starting tee, ready
to play, within 5 minutes after his scheduled tee time, the penalty for failure to start
on time will be 2 strokes. Penalty for more than 5 minutes late
DISQUALIFICATION.
g. Participants not properly attired will not be allowed to play on the course. Sport
shirts with collar, golf shirts, golf skirts, or trousers, golf Bermudas, and proper golf
shoes must be worn.
h. Players shall not exchange conversation with the gallery. Galleries must keep
distance from the players. 1st offence 2 stroke penalty and 2nd offence
DISQUALIFICATION.
i. Competitors must walk the course. Carts not allowed.
j. Protests: Disputes or protests must be made in writing and be lodged with the
Tournament Committee within 10 minutes of the completion of the competitors
round.
k. Caddies: All players must avail themselves of the services of a Lotus Valley caddie.
4. Prizes
a. Team Champions, 2nd place and 3rd place
b. Individual Championship Flight
1. Low Gross (Boys and Girls)
2. Best Net Score (Boys and Girls)
3. Champion, 2nd place and 3rd place in Boys A, B, C, D
4. Champion, 2ND place and 3rd place in Girls A, B, C, D
Trophies will be presented for 1st and 2nd place and medals for 3rd place.

The cost of participation in the tournament is 2,750 Baht per student, and 1,500 per
coach. This covers the green fee, tournament fees, caddy fee, trophies, goody bag and
dinner buffet. A caddy tip is discretionary and not included.

Payment and Administration

Please submit application forms and confirmation of bank transfers by the closing date
of Wednesday 23rd March. Cancellations will be allowed up until 3pm Friday 25th
March, after which no refund will be given. There will be no cash payments on the day,
unless agreed with the tournament director. Payment must be made by electronic
