B.TECH FINAL YEAR PROJECT

Topic:
SELF HEALING PROPERTIES TEST ON COMPOSITES

Description:
The project was conducted at the AERONAUTICAL DEVELOPMENT
ESTABLISHMENT, DRDO facility under the guidance of Dr. Samudra Dasgupta. The idea of
the project was to extend the life of composites after small damage occurs. To do the same we
fabricated Glass fiber and Carbon fiber reinforced polymer sandwich panels with micro channel.
The micro channels were then filled with resin and hardener. The models were then tested for
low velocity impact damages. These models were then tested for tensile strength in the transverse
direction. The strength of the conceptual sandwich composite was compared with a normal
composite and the results were satisfactorily positive.

Topic: Bearing and Bypass loading of a Joint with multiple rows of Push Fit pins.
Description:
Project is started at the Jain University, under the supervision of Dr.
