Bridal Bouquets
A bouquet is the Brides ultimate
accessory on her big day and will
appear in many of the wedding
photographs.
A brides bouquet should be
designed to complement her bridal
gown and the general style of her
wedding whether it takes place in
a small country church or a sleek
modern venue. We offer a full range
of designs from modern minimalist
arrangements to traditional posies.
When the bouquet arrives on the
day of the wedding, it should be put
in a cool place. The stems should be
checked to make sure that they are
immersed in water. Remember to pat
the stems dry on a clean tea towel
before you leave for the venue.

This modern shower bouquet contains a mixture of calla lillies

Bridesmaids
The bridesmaids flowers
should co-ordinate with the
bridal bouquet.
Bridesmaids bouquets often
use the same flowers as
the bride but in a smaller
arrangement. Younger
bridesmaids may prefer to
wear a floral headband
or carry a pomander or a
basket of petals.

Buttonholes & Corsages

Buttonholes and corsages
help to identify and unify
the main members of the
wedding party.
The grooms buttonhole
usually features a flower
from the bridal bouquet,
often with additional
embellishments. Ushers and
the best man may have a
single flower in a different
colour.
Close relatives would
normally be included. Ask
your florist for buttonholes
for gentlemen and corsages
for ladies.

A wide range of buttonhole and corsage designs are available.

Church & Reception Flowers

Flowers at the lych-gate or church
door create a beautiful entrance.
Pew ends can be enhanced with
flowers and bows, whilst columns can
be garlanded with flowers. Check
with the venue prior to ordering to
ensure no restrictions apply.
Most of the festivities take place at
the reception venue and choosing
the right displays can dramatically
transform the space.
Larger reception rooms should use
relatively tall floral arrangements
to fill the space and make a bold
statement.
Swags of flowers can be used to
enhance mantlepieces and doorways.
Chair backs can be dressed with
bows and flowers.
Wedding cakes can also be
decorated with flowers. They can also
be used to dress the handles of the
cake knife and champagne flutes for
the toast.

Stand & Vase Hire

Vases, containers and many
different pedestal stands
are available to complement
your choice of display. We
also have trees and shrubs to
enhance the venue.
The deposit and hire charge
would be required when
payment for the flowers
is made. The deposit is
refunded provided the hired
items are returned within
seven days.

Paying For Your
Wedding Flowers Flowers

At Longacres we have a large

team of qualified, experienced
florists who pride themselves
on providing an exceptional
service to brides and their
families. We are here to give
you advice and support for
your special day and assist you
in any way we can to make
your day a day to remember.

When you wish to discuss

your wedding flowers, please
arrange an appointment.
Due to ongoing wedding
work, appointments should be
made between Sat-Thurs only.
Your florist will be available
between 9am and 4pm.
(Please note that weekends
can be busy.)

We have extensive knowledge

of many different sizes and
styles of weddings from small
family ceremonies to large
church and marquee events,
and from very modern to
traditional.
Our florists very much
appreciate how important your
big day is and will go out of
their way to help and advise
you on all aspects of the
wedding flowers, from button
holes and bridal bouquets
to church and reception
arrangements.

A non-refundable deposit of
25.00 will be required when
you book your wedding date
with us. This is refunded from
the cost of your Bridal Bouquet
once full payment has been
made.

substitute flowers if your specified choice is
unavailable from our suppliers, or where the
quality does not meet our high standards. You will
be informed of this should it occur. Thankfully, such
circumstances rarely happen.
