June 2011 Diet of Examinations - Graduands

Dear Students,
Please read the following information prior to checking the graduates list:
The following list of graduands were approved by the Board of Examiners for the
June 2011 who have duly completed an appropriate programme of study, and subject
to the approval of the Senate of the University, will graduate in November 2011.
The Board of Examiners have recommended you for the award which is stated next to
your matriculation number.
If you feel you have been recommended for the wrong degree title please contact us
by 12 oclock noon (UK time) Wednesday 3rd August indicating your reasons why
the award title is inaccurate. Please send your queries to Karly McClure at
k.mcclure@hw.ac.uk. You must be aware that after 12.00 on Wednesday 3rd August
no further changes to the awards will be made.
If you do not see your record on the list and you think you should be please note there
are specific Grade requirements for the award of degree (that is, the number of credits
required at Grade D or above and a Grade D or above required in mandatory
modules). As such, whilst some students may have 360 credits that in itself does not
automatically result in an award of degree. The Board of Examiners considered all
student cases where they had 360 credits but did not fulfil the grade requirements for
the award of degree and a letter will be included with your results letter if you did not
meet the requirements. Please refer to your student handbook querying as to why you
have not been put forward for your award of degree.
The School of Management & Languages would like to congratulate the following
students on achieving their degrees. This brings the total number of awards on the
External Programmes (Heriot-Watt Management Programme) to over 1,500
graduates.
