ABSTRACT
With increasing demand and more than 2 billion increasing enrolled accounts, the world is
witnessing the tremendous rise in cyber-crime. Being a victim of online activities, fraud,
harassment or defamation, active Internet users are young age, groups. Presently, there is not
much data accessible on victim's approach of reasons for this crimes. Although computer
technology makes the life so fast and speedy, they are lobbed under the shadow of risk from
the cruel type of atrocity named as cybercrime. Young cybercrime victims are much likely
to be troubled about future victimization. Entire government administration and business
operations will mostly fail to function without computers. The growth of user-friendly,
economical and powerful computers has empowered many people to utilize them. Beside
this, most essentially, they depend on them as a part of their day to day life. As individuals,
government offices and businesses continue to depend on them increasingly, so will the
restriction of criminals of cyber offences will depend on appropriate survey of individuals
conduct and interpreting their effect over different sectors of communities.
In this paper, we discuss different sectors like consumer belief, socio-economical, sociopolitical, teenager, etc. Specifically highlights crime against women, as breach over women is
increasing in every field but effected through cyber-crimes could be the much frightening
experience. More specifically in our country, where the communities look downward upon
the females, and law havent taken necessary steps to identify cybercrimes. We aim to
recognize those reasons that may impose over women that badly affects her and will try to fill
the necessity for a better perception of cyber-crimes. This focal points that cyber criminals
have got outlets in the present surveillance system. We will also clearly examine the different
policies and laws to protect victims of cyber-crimes in various cases, such as IT Act (2000)
and recent amendments which are coming upon in Criminal Amendment Bill (2013). We will
even give in detail of various reputed cases in cybercrime.
We will focus even to recommend various alternatives to counter the rising cyber-crime in
India. In our concluding part, we will deal with important survey reports and gives a
methodical understandings and statistics of cyber atrocities.
