Recently released studies of junior teams


i) Paul Echlin (London, Ont.) followed two junior teams (average age of 18)
in 2009-10 season. 69% of hits causing a concussion were to the head, and
80% of hits that caused concussions were intentional.
U} University of Alberta Assistant Professor Martin Mrazik foltowed two
Edmonton minor hockey associations (age 12-13) in 2009-10. 10% of players
suffered concussions.
