CITY OF ANSONIA CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS 2016.2017 AND AEf}IbRf,UtI'IdCHuB
ISSUE OF IIP TO $4,265,000 BONDS OF THE CITY TO MEET SAID APPROPRIATION (OR
SUCH LESSER AMOLiNT IF LESS THAN ALL COMPONENTS ARE APPROVED) AND
PENDING THE ISSUANCE THEREOF THE MAKING OF TEMPORARY BORROWINGS
THEREFOR," as adopted by this meeting of the Board of Aldermen, be submitted pursuant to
Section l33C of the City Charter and Chapter 152 of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended,
to a referendum vote of the qualified electors of the City for approval or disapproyal at a
referendum to be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016 between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M., or
such other date and time as may be required and determined by the Mayor, and that the Notice of
said Referendum state the questions to be voted upon and the ballot labels with respect thereto as
follows:
Question

1:

"Shall the $900,000 appropriation and general obligation bond issuance authorization for
City of Ansonia Education facility improvements including energy conservation, Mead School
parking lot and water treatrnent at various schools, and for debt administration, pursuant to the
resolution adopted by the Board of Aldermen and BOAT, be approved? YES/l{o"
Question 2:

"Shall the $55,000 appropriation and general obligation bond issuance authorization for the
revitahzation of the City of Ansonia Nature Center homegrown playground, and for debt
administration, pursuant to the resolution adopted by the Board of Aldermen and BOAT, be
approved? YESA{O"
Question 3:

"Shall the $250,000 appropriation and general obligation bond issuance authorization for
City of Ansonia building infrastructure including wiring, phone and technology improvements for
Ansonia Rescue and Medical Services, City Hatl, Public Works and other buildings, and for debt
administration, pursuant to the resolution adopted by the Board of Aldermen and BOAT, be
approved? YESA{O"
Question 4:

"Shall the $545,000 appropriation and general obligation bond issuance authorization for City of
Ansonia Public Safety improvements including: oxygen system, ambulance, communication and
other equipment for police, fire and ARMs, and for debt administration, pursuant to the resolution
adopted by the Board of Aldermen and BOAT, be approved? YESA{O

Ouestion 5:

"Shall the $355,000 appropriation and general obligation bond issuance authorization for
City of Ansonia Public Works improvements including City Hall front steps, public works building,
nature center building, Hilltop Hose roof and siding, Redwing Pond Schoolhouse roof, various citywide building improvements and vehicles, and for debt administration, pursuant to the resolution
adopted by the Board of Aldermen and BOAT, be approved? YESAIO "
Question 6:

"Shall the $2,160,000 appropriation and general obligation bond issuance authorization for
City of Ansonia city-wide road improvements including milling, paving and drainage, and for debt
administration, pursuant to the resolution adopted by the Board of Aldermen and BOAT, be
approved? YESAIO"
The voting will be by paper/electronic ballot. Those desiring to vote for the question shall

filI in the box in front of the question on the ballot at "YES". Those desiring to vote against the
question shall fill in the box in front of the question on the ballot at o'NO". Absentee ballots will be
made available in accordance with Iaw.

The warning of said Referendum shall state that the full texts of the aforesaid resolution and
questions are on file open to public inspection in the office of the Town and City Clerk.
