Los estudiantes leen dilogos breves que contienen expresiones de
uso frecuente para saludar y presentarse. Luego de que el docente
modela su pronunciacin, los alumnos los leen y dramatizan o los
presentan en un video.
Por ejemplo:
Paulo: Hello. Im Paulo. Whats your name?
Tom: Hello, my name is Tom. Nice to meet you.
Paulo: Nice to meet you too.
Anna: Hi, Sally. How are you?
Sally: Im OK. What about you?
Anna: Im great! Thanks.
Mr. Smith: Good morning, Pedro. How are you today?
Pedro: Good morning, Mr. Smith. Im fine, thank you. How about you?
Mr. Smith: Im very well. Thank you.
Los estudiantes leen un cuento simple y breve con apoyo del
docente. Luego completan un organizador grfico con informacin
del cuento.
Por ejemplo:

Los estudiantes se presentan a s mismos y a su familia, mostrando
una fotografa o un dibujo. Dicen su nombre, edad, direccin y
preferencias. Por ejemplo: My name is . This is my
family, my father , and my mother .
This is my sister and my brother . Im 12 years

Los estudiantes dibujan a su familia en un diagrama de rbol
genealgico y luego completan un texto sobre la familia con
informacin como nombres, descripcin fsica y parentesco. Por

brothers are . Their names are and .
Los estudiantes completan un correo electrnico como el siguiente,
usando el procesador de texto:

Los estudiantes copian palabras en dos columnas, una de frutas
y otra de adjetivos que describan frutas como colores. Luego con
la ayuda del docente completan un poema muy simple usando
estas palabras.

Por ejemplo:
