Appointment
in The Ministry had undertaken a Special Recruitment Drive for
Group
D
post visually handicapped persons for filling up the Group D or
against Physically equivalent posts in Government establishments. A number of
Handicapped quota candidates got appointed due to availability of vacancies but
some candidates were left due to non availability of vacancies in
some organizations at the point of time. So, they filed various
court cases n Kolkata and Kerala. In pursuance of the court
direction, this Ministry had tried to secure employment for such
candidates with Ministry of Railways. Ministry of Railways have,
now, agreed to consider the cases of those candidates who posess
minimum qualification for Group-D i.e. VIII pass. All candidates
and their councils are being informed accordingly.
