CLASS HISTORY

Hmmmmwhat about our class?
Well, the story of our class goes way back to our preschool days when we were these cute little kids.
Some of us, particularly Lloyd, Philip, Sheen, Carmel, Deborah, and I, Jane, have spent basically all
our lives within the 4 walls of our school. Originally, we were 12. Aside from the mentioned names,
our class also had guys like Bruce, Chantal, John, Joshua, Danny, and Cherson. As little kids, we
had these petty fights that usually ended in tears. One of our classmates, Chantal, was exceptionally
good at punishing her enemies. She did this by pinching anyone who got in her way and yeah, those
pinches really hurt.
A class wouldnt be complete without its experiences, right? Our class was no different, it also had
its fair share of both happy and sometimes, embarrassing moments. I could still remember Philip
that day in kindergarten when he apparently forgot to put on his diapers and when it was time to go
wee-wee, well, umm, you know what happened. Philip explains that the teacher couldnt hear him
because the piano was playing so loud so he had no choice but to pee in his shorts. Good
explanation but I think the diaper story is much better.
As kids, our preschool years were filled with lots of playtime. Every recess time, wed race each
other out to the playground where the monkey bars, the slide, the swing and other toys were located.
Aside from desperately trying to climb up the monkey bars or infinitely sliding down the slide, we also
had games like shark2x, lupa-langit, dakpanay, and bang chak.
Preschool was certainly unforgettable. Those were the years when we didnt care if our uniforms got
soiled or not, when wed cry over little things like getting a green star instead of a red star, and the
usual, Were not friends, but then after two seconds, well be like, Ok, were now back to being
friends.
After spending 3 years in the playground, we moved up to the elementary level, where more
surprises awaited us.
Our elementary years started in Grade I. Sadly, Joshua and John transferred schools so we were
down to 10. Lucky for us, a new student came in whod soon prove to be one of the most hilarious
people wed ever meet. (Can you guess who that student was?) That new student was Kellei. Fresh
from Butuan and Ozamiz City Central School, he brought with him epic stories about his adventures
there, like the daily fights they had there. Soon enough, Kellei was creating his own stories on paper,
like the one that had a chop-chop lady in it. Kellei had no trouble blending in and soon became a
member of our little family.
Grade 2 saw the arrival of Hannie and Mac-mac. Mac-mac was this chubby little boy in eyeglasses
while Hannie was this super tall girl whod tower over all of us for many years to come. We were also

very fortunate enough to be under the care of a fantastic teacher named Mrs. Helen. She made
classes fun by adding in fun activities together with the lessons we had. Among her many
amusements was the song, Its a long, long walk that went like this, Its a long, long walk, its a
long, long walk, oh look! Theres a bridge! Lets cross! Cross.cross.cross. Or the Hi, My name is
Joe song. She was also an excellent storyteller. She had this story about a mysterious executioner
who, one-by-one, killed a group of people. She made it more interesting by making us the
characters. Wed eagerly listen to her and gasp whenever she would say, question mark, meaning
that someone just got killed. I still remember Deborah having the misfortune of dying first while she
was in the kitchen washing the dishes.
Grade 3 was the year that Cherson emerged as a superhero. You see, Kellei, Lloyd, Bruce, and
Danny were real fond of pushing Philip around. Lucky for Philip, he found a saviour and defender in
Cherson. Whenever Kellei, Lloyd and co. decides to have some fun with Philip, hell just call out
Chersons name and soon enough, youd see Cherson running to save him.
KEZIAH
Going into my 4th year in my elementary, I decided to transfer schools and I ended up here in
MUHS. Along with myself, there was also this new student named Kyle. While I managed to
immediately get along just fine with the others Kyle didnt find himself in the same situation.
Throughout the year, Kyle had to go through tough things like getting into a fight with Lloyd and
getting a nosebleed out of this. And according to the boys, they managed to force Kyle into holding a
ball drenched in pee. Quite disgusting, isnt it? Yuck. This probably explained why Kyle transferred
schools the next year, in 5th grade.
In 5th grade, we found this bird lying around in our classroom. It may have had gone in our room by
accident and then wasnt able to find out a way out but we didnt care how it got in, we decided to
take care of it and make it our own class pet. The bird was a colourful lovebird and we named it
Cupid. Sadly, by the time we found it, it already had severe injuries and was becoming too frail to go
on living. After a short period of time, Cupid left us and passed away. She probably went to join her
other fellow lovebirds in Bird Paradise. There was also this time when we rolled sheets of paper,
lighted the tips, and pretended like we were smoking real cigarettes. We were interested to know
what smoking felt like so we did that. We never did it again though because it felt really bad, like
filling your lungs with burnt paper.
The next year, we were finally in 6th grade, ready to graduate and face the next step in our lives. Of
course, graduation wasnt the only highlight in Grade six. Carmel was able to give Philip a nasty
punch to the eye that left Philip whimpering in a corner of our classroom. And who could forget the
supposedly accidental collision between Kellei and Carmel? Im pretty sure everyone here
remembers it. Also, Kellei, Lloyd, and Philip started composing songs like First Day High, The
Boys Song, and the number one hit, Nathan. After graduation, we were ready to face high school,
often known as the best part in a students life.

In high school, we had a new environment and we now faced different expectations than we did in
elementary school. It was now time to quit acting like babies and start acting like tweens. In our first
year of high school, for some unknown reason, Kyle came back but this time, he made sure that he
wouldnt be pushed around no more. From being pint-sized kid in grade 4, he was now a big and tall
man. This certainly put the boys devious plans to a halt. We also had a new student named Keene.
People jokingly called him Dumbo because of his prominent ears that extended quite a long way
from his head. We also had a new student named LJ, a girl obsessed with Naruto. At first, she was
still quite shy and did not speak much but eventually, she got a hold of things and started mingling
more and more with us. Along with the new students, we also had new teachers. We had Sir
Bantigue, whos now a columban missionary and our adviser, Maam Eva, whos now in the United
States Of America together with her husband. It was in this year too that we began taking language
to a whole new level, we started creating terms like, impa that, no cha, sumacatreg, and a whole
lot of other jargon terms. Our first year in high school definitely gave us a sneak peek on what was to
come in the next 3 years of our high school life.
LLOYD
In our 2nd year of high school, we were taken under the care of Mrs. Bucua, who was strict but at
the same time, caring. We had a new science teacher, the lovely Miss Mae, whos now managing
her own perfume business, Fascino. In the months leading up to our schools foundation day, we
were met with a lot of challenges, especially in practices where our class chemistry didnt go so well
but luckily, we had Mrs. Bucua, who had the experience and the patience to bind us together into
one single team. And, yeah, it did pay off, we got second place in the cheerdance competition, which
I think was quite good, considering what we had at that time. Kellei, Philip, and I went back to our old
story-telling days, crafting yet another story entitled Stardoll which, in my opinion, was an unusual
and fishy title for a story. And, speaking of fishes, Id like to remind Sheen that she still hasnt
brought the fish to this day.
After that, it was now time to move on to our 3rd year of high school. This time, we had a new
student named Pao2x. He was this skinny and funny kid from Pagadian whod soon become one of
the class clowns together with Kellei. Miss Mae was now our adviser. Looking back, we sincerely
apologize for being rowdy and wild at times; I guess it was just a part of growing up as a teenager. I
remember an incident, when we were planning for prom, where Miss Mae went away in tears after
insensitive replies we gave her, we simply didnt realize how much work she put in our prom just to
make things right. And, again, were very sorry for that. But in the long run, I think all those moments
helped us become better people and made us much closer as a family.
So, after 3 years in high school, we finally came to our last and final year, our senior year. Going into
our senior year, we knew that we had to make the best out of everything because basically
everything we did now was our last, like our last our foundation day, our last Christmas party, our
last JS Prom, and our last days together as well. To start with, Pao2x and Kyle transferred schools
which left us at 10, 7 girls and 3 boys or much better known as The Big Three. We also had new
teachers like Maam Zanoria, Maam Alvite, Miss Jayme, Sir Vj, and our class adviser, Maam Irish.

Being a class of 10, our class was pretty boring on its own; thered be times when wed be staring
blankly out the windows. But anyone who knows our class knows that in some way or another, wed
make something fun out of anything, which explains our rather strange humour. A typical
conversation in class would always have something funny in it, for some of us that is. We boys
estimate that over 75 percent of our conversations are filled with phrases such as, Wa kay angay
dodong,.unya kung ipakug, or Wla raba kay sabon As our jokes got more and more
out of hand, the need for a pacifier/peacemaker arose and that need was fulfilled by none other than,
yours truly, Lloyd Yu. Whenever theyd get wild or anything Id immediately intervene and say stuff
like, Ayaw mog pag ingana oi.bad bya na, or Ah, grabe pd mo oi, gabuhat ra bya ko para sa
inyung kaayuhan. Seeing how things are going, I can say that Im doing a pretty good job, even
though wa koy angay.
But even with all those jokes we have, we still find ourselves filled with boredom at times. So, in an
effort to make things much more interesting, Sheen brought with her a new board game called
Squabble, which we now play almost every day. Its basically the same with scrabble, its just that
Sheen replaced some of the original rules with the Rules from Manila, which can sometimes be
really annoying, especially for the three of us boys. After innumerable legendary rounds of squabble,
we were able to compile a list of all-time favourite words like Sheens signature Goat/Toga.
As graduation approaches, we begin to realize how little time we have left together. We barely have
a month to go before we part ways though we still remember the first day of school as if it was
yesterday. Were pretty sure that our last few days would be filled with joy, excitement, sadness, and
a lot of tears.
As we have our last JS Prom, Id like to remind you that there are two ways that you can have your
story, its either you let someone write it or you write it yourself. And Im pretty sure our class has
done a very good job of writing a very compelling story for future generations to read.
And lastlySalamat!
