Thesis Statement: The immigration center Ellis Island ideally
demonstrates how migrants explored a new country, encountered
different people and cultures, and exchanged goods, for the
promise of a better future.

This article gives me information about the life of immigrants, specifically children, during their
time at Ellis Island. Additionally it describes the activities and situations of all immigrants, and
compares and contrasts the conditions between those deemed well, and detainees.
