ABSTRACT
TB is still one of the world public health problem in many countries since
1995. The death rate of tuberculosis Indonesia ranks third number of tuberculosis
patients in the world, after India and China. TB patients in Blooto Primary
Health Centre still high, and 35 patients in 2015. The pattern of the epidemiology
of TB patients concentrated in densely populated environments, inadequate
environmental sanitation, social, economic, and education. The purpose of this
study was to analyze the relationship between homes environmental sanitation
and population density with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in Blooto
Primary Health Centre, Mojokerto City. This study used a cross-sectional design
with 29 samples. Data were collected through interviews using a questionnaire
density measurements and observations. Homes environmental sanitation and
population density as independent variables and the incidence of pulmonary
tuberculosis as the dependent variable. Analysis of the data by using frequency
distribution and chi-square. Results of research sanitary home environment there
is a relationship with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis with a p-value =
0.000 (p <0.05) and there is a relationship with the population density incidence
of pulmonary tuberculosis with p-value = 0.003 (p <0.05). From the analysis it
can be concluded that there is a relationship with the homes enviromental
sanitation and population density with incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in
Blooto Primary Health Centre, Mojokerto City. To decrease the incidence of
pulmonary tuberculosis in Blooto Primary Health Centre in Mojokerto City,
advisable for institutions are expected improved health promotion regarding
tuberculosis and cross-sector cooperation in efforts to improve the physical sector
house habitable environment and comply with health standards.
