The excel spreadsheet is designed to make it quick and easy to document =
customer configured Wage Types. All of the major configuration =
components related to Wage Types are included in the spreadsheet. The =
customer or consultant simply has to enter the relevant settings in the =
appropriate columns.

The spreadsheet can also be used as a check that all of the relevant =
components have been thought about and configured as an implementation =
progresses.

Country Settings

The majority of Wage Type configuration settings are generic across all =
countries. However, it should be noted that the spreadsheet is aimed at =
the North American market, and this means that, for example, the =
Processing Classes to be checked relate to USA/Canada specific =
configuration. Anyone using the spreadsheet in other countries will need =
to be aware of their own country specific Processing Classes, Evaluation =
Classes, and so on.

Using The Spreadsheet

When first opening the spreadsheet you will see Rows/Columns with main =
headings attached to them. Each of these has a + next to them. =
Clicking on the + will open up the Row/Column to reveal more details.

To insert or delete Rows or Columns anywhere on the spreadsheet simply =


highlight the relevant row/column and go to the Insert or Edit menu in =
the usual way.

To make entries in cells, double click on the cell in the usual way, =
then enter the configuration setting.

Column Headings

Column headings have been set up for all of the major areas of Wage Type =
configuration, in the following order;

Wage Type ID (ie M001)

Wage Type Text (ie Hourly Rate)

Assignment to Infotypes

a Wage Type is valuated.

Rules
=B7 You can if you wish record the key rules which affect the =
Wage Type.

Benefits Wage Types


=B7 Open this to record which benefit plans your Wage Type is =
assigned to, whether it is an EE or ER deduction, and the base Wage Type =

to be valuated.

Indirect Valuation in T539J

infotypes 0008, 0014, 0015.

Net Pay Deductions

processing classes 74 and 75 (for systems up to 3.0E), and entries in =
T51P6, (3.0F onwards), and T51DT and T51D1.

Row Titles

The spreadsheet contains suggested headings under which your Wage Types =
could be grouped for easy reference.

Each of these headings opens up to show suggested sub-headings, eg Basic =


Pay Wage Types opens up to show Monthly, Weekly, and Hourly, and each of =
these can then be opened up to record individual Wage Types under the =
relevant category.
