Cable Glands

PX2K Flameproof Compound Barrier Brass Glands

Triple Certified Flameproof barrier gland feature a unique reversible armour cone making
them suitable for steel wire (SWA), steel tape (STA) and braided armoured cables within
Flameproof ATEX hazardous areas, CAT 2 (Zone 1) and CAT 3 (Zone 2). Provides IP66
LSFZeroHalogen environmental seal onto the cables outer sheath and compound
barrier to seal around the core interstices.

The compound barrier is contained within a removable brass tube which allows for the
cable to be easily disconnected for maintenance, change-out etc. Mechanical armour wire
retention and electrical continuity is provided by the reversible armour cone and AnyWay
universal clamping ring, which allows for easy removal of the gland body for testing
without disturbing the clamping arrangement.

Manufactured as standard from high quality brass grade CuZn39Pb3 to CW614N, also
available in stainless steel or special material finishes, e.g. nickel-plated .

brass earthtags, entry thread washers, O-rings and PVC or LSFZeroHalogen shrouds.
