Quetion : Today in our country, there is no lack of educational institutions, public

and private.
However, many students still prefer going
abroad to further their studies. Do you agree that studying abroad is the
better choice?

Study abroad is the term given to a program, usually run through a

university, which allows a student to live in a foreign country and attend a
foreign university. Study abroad programs come many shapes and sizes.
The typical program one thinks of allows a student to spend a semester
studying abroad, but some programs run for multiple semesters or up to a
year. Nowaday, in our country, there is no lack of education. I partially
agree that studying abroad the better choice. The advantage of studying
abroad is students can be more independent, but studying in local
education is more better because it can be able to save our costs also the
students will feel more comfortable and safe.
Firstly, the advantage of studying abroad is students can be more
independents without their family. It is because being away from home
removes you from the normal support network. Beside that, it give some
chances for students to hone their skills. For example, skills about the
household for the girl students such as skills of cooking and proficiency in
the house. In addition, they can learn to take responsibility for own actions.
Besides that, they also can hone the ability to manage their own finances.
It is because there are many abroad students have working while studying
at some foreign universities. Hence, studying abroad make the students
more independent on themselves without help from their family.
Moreover, studying in local education can be able to save our costs.
It is because local educations more affordable compared the foreign
universities. There are many things that they are must need to pay such as
tuition fees, accommodation and meals. At the same time, cost of living is
high today especially at the overseas. So, locally living expenses less
expensive and they no need to worry about exchange rate. Beside that,
they also no need to worry about financial woes liked no need to working
while studying. Another then that, it also will not give a burden to family
especially those from lower income group. Some of that family have a lot
of abligations as liabilities of the other brothers who are still studying.
Thus, studying at local education can able to save our costs compared
studying abroad.
Next, the students will feel comfortable and safe on their own
country. It is because nowadays, we always heard about the riots at the
overseas such as India, Thailand and Arab Saudi. So, if we continue our
studiesat the local educations maybe the places or the universities is near
to home and of course the students not feel jomesick. Besida that, the

family members also can visit us any time especially when the emergency
situations. The surrounding are familiar with us and we no need for an
orientation of new enviroment. The students wiil not get the culture shock.
It is because, there are many issues about our citizens have get the culture
shock after they continued their studies abroad. The special thing that we
continue our studies at the local education is we can celebrate festive
seasons with family such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri , Deepavali and Tahun
Baru cina. Hence, if we continue our studies at local educations, we can
feel more comfortable also can celebrate festive seasons with our family.
In a nutshell, studying at the local educations is better than studying
abroad. Ther are many efforts taken by goverments to improved our
quality of local education also there are benefits we can get when we study
at local educations. We must proud of our country especially on our
educations. It is because the efforts make pur country educations on par
with international standards. Study abroad also can be the students more
independents but studying at local educations can be able to save our
costs and can make us feel more comfortable and safe compared studying
abroad.
