ELIGIBILITY:
For M.Phil :
At least Sixteen Years of Studies (M.A., MLIS, M.Sc., M.B.A., M.A.S., M.Com., 4-Year B.S., B.
Pharm, Pharm. D.,M.B.B.S., B.D.S., D.V.M. , B.S./B.E. Engineering) or equivalent qualification
with at least second division in the relevant field from an HEC recognized university/institution.
However, candidates with M.B.B.S., B.D.S., D.V.M. or equivalent qualification will be required to
successfully complete 15-Credit Hour Courses (300-600 Level) before undertaking 24-Credit Hour
M. Phil. Courses (700 Level).

For M.S. & M.D. :

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) & B.D.S. or equivalent qualification
from a recognized University in addition to one year house job with valid PMDC Registration.

For Ph.D :

FACULTY OF PHARMACY:

M.S., M. Pharm., M. Phil., LL.M. (applicable only for Faculty of Law) or its equivalent
qualification in the relevant field from an HEC recognized university.

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES:

Admission will be granted on the basis of test / interview to be conducted by the Departmental
Research Committee in accordance with the instructions given in the Admission Prospectus2016.

Admission Prospectus and Form can be downloaded from the website (www.uok.edu.pk),
complete application form along with the required documents & processing fee (nonrefundable) of Rs. 3,000/- (Pay Order) in favour of University of Karachi and can be
submitted in the respective departments from April 20 to April 28, 2016. Applicants for
Ph.D. (Law) and MS/MD are required to attach processing fee (non-refundable) of Rs.
6,000/- (Pay Order) in favour of University of Karachi to be submitted in the School of Law
and BASR Section respectively. Incomplete, late applications, through postage or courier
will not be entertained.
The Karachi University Entrance Test 2016 (KUET) is mandatory for all the candidates. List
of eligible candidates for appearing in KUET will be displayed on website on May 10, 2016.
Candidates eligible for Karachi University Entrance Test will be required to collect Admit
Cards from May 10 to May 11, 2016 from the relevant Departments/Centres/Institutes.
The Karachi University Entrance Test will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 10:00 am.
Candidates are required to report at 9:30 am at the Department/Centre/Institute with
Admit Card and Original CNIC. For further information/details, visit our website

List of candidates who passed the Karachi University Entrance Test will be announced on
the website on May 23, 2016.
