BJP National President, ShriAmitShahfiercelyattackedonDMK,AIADMKand
Congress for the plight of Tamil Nadu in a Press Conference, held in
Tiruchirappalli, today. He urged people of the state to form BJPled NDA
governmentinthestateforthedevelopmentofTamilNadu.

BJP president said, the DMK,theCongresscontestinginthealliancewith them

andtheAIADMK allthreepartiesarebeinginvolvedincorruption,whetheritbe
acaseofdisproportionateassets,2G,AircelMaxisdealcontroversyorEDaction
taken againstformerUnionMinisterP.Chidambaram's son inmoneylaundering
andcorruption.Hesaid,wheneverthesepartiescame into the power,theyhave
justdidtheworkofcarryingoutcorruption,andallofthesecasesarearesultof
their act of corruption.ShriShah said,
duetocorruption,astatewith sucha
strong growth potential is far behindinthegrowth process.Hesaid, DMK,
AIADMK orCongresscannotgivearuleofdevelopmentinthestate,itisonlythe
BJPled NDA government could offer it because
only BJP believes in the
politics of development. He said,
we are completing 2 years at the Centre
butnoonecouldallegedevenasinglechargeofcorruptiononus.

BJP President said that

the BJP government at the Centre, under the
leadership of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, have initiated many
public welfare schemes for development in last 2 years but implementing
these schemes in Tamil Nadu is an obvious challenge. Referring to 'Uday'
scheme, Shri Shah said, due to aloofness of Tamil Nadu government, this
scheme has not been started yet in thestate,similarlyspaceforAIIMShas not
been allocated yet due to recalcitrance of the state government. He said,
the
people of the state are still unable to take the advantage of the schemes
like Crop Insurance for the betterment of the farmers, Mudra Yojana for
entrepreneurshipamongpooryouth,insurancepolicieslaunchedforsocial
securityofthepeopleyetwhatTamilNaduwouldhavegotto.

Referring to the efforts taken by the Modi government for the welfare of Tamil
fishermen, Shri Shah said,
the Modi government not only rescued the

fishermenarrestedinSriLanka(whichhadgivenupsentencedtodeathby
theSriLankangovernment)butalsoensuredtheirsafelyreturn.Replyingto
a question on Tamil fishermen, BJP president said,
after our arrival at the
Centre, speedy release of Tamil fishermen from Sri Lanka have been
ensured,atthesametime, fishermendonothavetofaceanykindoffiring
now, andremember,it ishappeningforthefirst time.Hesaid,itisfirsttime,
an Indian Prime Minister visited refugee camp in Jaffna and talk to them to
inspire. Shri Shah said that
the central government and the party is
committedtothecompletesolutiontotheproblemofTamilfishermen.

Referring the central assistance to the state atthetimeofnaturaldisaster,BJP

presidentsaid,regardlessofwhichpartyisinthepower,thecentralgovernment
provided financial assistance of thousands of crores to Tamil Nadu, sothatthe
people of the state could not feel alone in such a crisis time. Shri Shah said,
people of Tamil Nadu have been exploited by the sand mafia and the
alcoholmafiabothintherulingofDMKCongressandAIADMK.

Responding toaquestionon waterdisputeofTamil Naduwithotherstates,Shri

Shah said, at the time of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, we had taken
quiteserious effortsfora permanentsolutionto thewaterissuebutinthelast10
years of Congress' Centre or the State Governments showed no interest in
resolving the issue. He said,
the BJP government is taking every possible
steps to find apermanentsolutiontowaterdisputewiththeconsentofall
thestates.

BJP National President, Shri Amit Shah said,

the Modi government is
committedtothewelfareofvillages,poor,farmers,youthandlabourers.He
said,
we promise to giveacorruption andfrightfreedevelopmentoriented
government in Tamil Nadu. He said, the waywegotabout20%votesharein
the last Lok Sabha elections, I am confident that in the same way, people of
Tamil NaduwilldefinitelygiveBJPledNDAachancetoformgovernment inthe
state this time. He appealed to the people to change one of the most corrupt
governments of Tamil Nadu, form a BJPcoalition government in the state and
movethestateonthepathofdevelopment.
