AboutFerriteandPredictingFerriteNumberofAusteniticStainlessSteel
Thestandardizedaustenitic
stainlesssteelgradescontain

conditionorinthewelds.
However,theferritecontent
decreasesremarkablythrough
hotrollingandannealingofthe
hotrolledproducts.The
remainingferritecontentofthe
coldrolledproductsis
vanishingsmallaftersolution
annealing.Thewelding
methodchosenhasa
significantinfluenceonthe
ferritecontentoftheweld
metal(1).
Adjustingtheferritecontent
