About College
HITAM is situated in a sprawling lush 11 acre campus at Medchal. It
was started in 2001 as Royal College of Engineering in Medak. This
institution sought to impart qualitative education in the eld of
Engineering and Management. Transformation at HITAM did not stop
with mere physical infrastructure; it extended far beyond. It had
manifested into creation of best practices in education, embracing
eco-consciousness, facilitating career planning and ensuring faculty
development all from a perspective of overall growth of its students
and faculty. HITAM campus is the rst campus to be declared a Green
Building.
HITAM is afliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU)
and is approved by AICTE, which confers the Bachelor of Technology
(B.Tech.) degree in various disciplines.

HITAM believes that engineering is not a mere
profession, but an attitude. It is exactly what
we do, what we teach our students, to gain
this attitude, to be an Engineer, not to be an
impassionate engineering graduate. This is
why we attune our students to infuse a deep

Admission Process

Research

A-Category (Convener Quota)

70% of the seats are lled by the Convener, EAMCET under category A.
Detailed notications are issued by the State Council for Higher Education to
attend certicate verication and exercise web options. Final allotments are
announced through portal to both candidates and the respective colleges.
B-Category (Management Quota)
30% of the seats are lled by the college under category B as per the
guidelines given by the competent authority.
Spot Category
After all the internal sliding, external sliding, and dropouts are entertained, the
colleges are asked to arrive at the vacancy list which is to be published for the
aspirants. The leftover seats are lled by the colleges as per the guidelines
given by the competent authority.

Scholarships
Any academic pursuit is not complete without ample research work being
done by the student during the time period. Research is an integral part of
academics. Research gives meaning to textual knowledge- it deepens the
understanding of the various concepts and theories that students learn
and gives chance to them to build up on what they know. When each
target or project is completed via research, students feel a sense of
accomplishment, a feeling that they have contributed something towards
the future of the world.
The Research and Development Wing at HITAM provides a good platform
for students to come up with ideas, guide them in the right way of their
research, and sees to it that the projects are completed successfully.
HITAM provides ample infrastructure, lab facilities, equipment etc needed
for the research and our students gain their full potential with our support.

HITAM has a wide variety of Incoming FRESHMAN Scholarships, ranging from merit to sports, to offer to deserving
students.
Rank holders below 10,000 ranks in EAMCET are eligible for 100% fee waiver.
Rank holders between 10,000 to 20,000 ranks in EAMCET are eligible for 50% fee waiver.
National level winners/participants in academic competitions like Mathematics Olympiad, Science Olympiad, National
Science fair or exhibitions (Winners shall be given more weightage).
State level winners/participants in academic competitions like Mathematics Olympiad, Science Olympiad, National
Science fair or exhibitions (Winners shall be given more weightage).
State level winners/participants in sports (Winners shall be given more weightage).
Participants in other activities and achievements may also apply and eligible students may be considered after
thorough scrutiny of their application by the Scholarship recommendation committee of HITAM.
NOTE: The students are encouraged to apply for scholarships on the basis of their previous record of achievements.

are the rst Green campus in India to be awarded a Silver Rating by LEEDS US Green Building Counsel. Designed with free owing geometric structures,
the campus is equipped with best-in-class labs, impressive libraries, and
spacious classrooms.
Abundant facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, a dispensary for medical
emergencies, hygienic canteen and college buses to reduce transport hassle
all cater to the basic needs of our students. In fact, HITAM is rated the rst ISO
9001:2000 certied institution amongst all JNTU colleges.
The campus at HITAM is contemporary, from academic blocks, canteen
facilities to cultural, social events to transportation; the campus is every
student's favourite hangout place. State of the art infrastructure at HITAM
propels students to not just become full-edged engineers, but to feel like one,
while aspiring to be one.

Classrooms
The classrooms at HITAM bring in the ambience factor which fosters
learning. Teaching is done at smart classrooms with the aid of
contemporary technological apparatus. Another advantage of smart learning
is that students will become accustomed with multi-media presentations and
this will help them when they enter the professional world too.

Library
The Library at HITAM is exhaustive and extensive. Through an
extensive and growing collection of books, journals and articles,
students get to access a wealth of knowledge. The library boasts of
a plethora of knowledge pertaining to various streams of
engineering, technology, science, management, and general
studies. The space provides a serene and comfortable environment
for students to study, explore and excel.

Labs
The labs at HITAM provide students with all amenities needed for
training and analysis. The labs are constantly upgraded and
updated to achieve modern standards in training and development
of advanced technologies. There are exclusive laboratories for
each department which provide ample practical experience for
students in their respective subjects and specialties. These factors
help us greatly in preparing engineers with global attributes.

CDC - Career
Development Cell
HITAM Career Development Centre (CDC) helps
prepare the students adequately for a corporateprofessional career and life. With extra & co-curricular
trainings, internships, externships, job fairs,
placements and much, much more, all of the CDCs
resources and programs are at the disposal of the
HITAM family - students, parents, employers, alumni,
faculty and staff.

Transportation
HITAM provides safe and secure transportation facilities for its day
scholars. Our eet of buses take students to and from the campus
and various destinations in and around the city.The location of the
HITAM is very convenient for commute. The college is easily
accessible by both public and private transport.

local industries and complementary external
organizations.

Sports

Placement at HITAM is the culmination of the efforts of the students, faculty and
more so our Career Development Centre which trains them continuously for this
crucial and decisive phase of their college life. The on-going training session
prepares students for a seamless transition from academic life to corporate life.
HITAM has achieved 97% placement record for the 2015 season so far.
The wide variety of student clubs at HITAM reects the importance we pay to the
diversity of our student community. These clubs afford a splendid forum for their
classroom learning to blossom into invaluable leadership and life skills. Apart
from interacting with peers of same wave-length, students also get a platform to
interact with alumni and professionals in their chosen eld of interest. This boosts
their condence levels while attending placement interviews.

Career Assurance Program

The HITAM Career Assurance Program (CAP)
includes career mapping, internships, industry
certications, benchmarking, frequent check points,
aptitude and soft skills trainings and counseling for
students and parents to ensure that the participants
remain on track. HITAM Career Assurance Program
is open all incoming students.

HITAM knows the value of sports and games and understands that
it is necessary for the overall development of a student. We organize
various sports and games tournaments for our students and provide
support to our best talents in participating in various tournaments.
