My name is I Putu Yoga Apriadi.

I currently studying at Nursing Science Department,

Medical Faculty Udayana University (Denpasar, Bali). I come from small village in Tourism
Island, Bali called Bungkulan. I live with big family with two brothers. Since I was a child, my
parent told me that education is a very important thing in life and the purpose of life is learning.
Many children in my village do not continue their study for several reason (mainly for economic
reason). So, Im happy that my family support my education and gives me the opportunity to
learn.
My experience in school organization since I was in junior and senior high school
(such as: head of intra-school student organization) reinforced my enthusiasm for an experience
in soft and hard management skill. I had the opportunity to train my management skill at every
level until I found a problem that health opportunity in between my village with in the city was
very difference. I realize that number and education degree of health practitioner in small village
in Bali was far from standard according to the Bali Health Department.
I continue my study at nursing science department medical
faculty of Udayana University in Denpasar, Bali in different region where I studied junior and
senior high school with a vison that increase health assessment standard in my hometown. I was
one of the lucky people who could experience such a wonderful education process which has
built my character and knowledge in managerial skill.
Bali, island that have so many cultures and people under variety of circumstances, has
many different ways to understanding health care that need a professional health practitioner,
especially health care in native village.
My extra-curricular life (such as: nursing debate competition, indonesian nursing
student association) and Im also a volunteer at VNT (Voluntary Nursing Team) Udayana
University really fired my enthusiasm for career in nursing. All these activities have demanded a
significant degree of sustained commitment, integrity and competence; in addition, they have
afforded me the opportunity to develop administrative skills and the ability to communicate ideas
to people under variety of circumstances.
This intention could be achieved if I enable to provide myself with excellent postgraduate
education to improve my knowledge significantly. Moreover, I strongly motivate myself to
continue research activities in my own country after finishing my study.
Being nominated for the prestigious scholarship has strongly encouraged me to be
part of the wonderful education system in UK. Studying in the United Kingdom will bring me to
a worldwide network of nursing with the UK excellent academic environment, and this will
empower me with excellent nursing knowledge to achieve and realize my dream.
