CHAPTER III

RESEARCH PLANS AND PROCEDURES

A. Research Plan
1. Subjects Research
Subjects in this study were students in grade IX MTs. Nurul Islahil Islami
Kateng are 18 people.
2. Place of research
MTs. Nurul Islahil Islami Kateng
3. Research time
when the study began planning until the writing of research reports that from
January till April 2010 in the 2nd semester of the school year 2011-2012.
4. Old Measures
the time to execute the action starts from Cycle I and Cycle II for 3 months.
B. Research Procedures
This study is a Classroom Action Research (Classroom Action Research)
carried out by following the procedures of research based on the principle of
Kemmis and Taggart (1998) which includes Planning activities (planning),
Action (action), Observation (observation), Reflection (reflection), and
evaluation (evaluation). All four of these activities take place repeatedly in the
form of the cycle. The research was done by collaborating with teachers MTs.
Nurul Islahil Islahil Kateng. This learning process is examined by Class
Action research with two cycles with the following activities:

CYCLE to-1
Planning Phase (planning) includes:
1. Identify the problem.
2. Analyze and formulate the problem.
3. Designing a model of classical learning.
4. Discuss the interactive learning model.
5. Setting up the instruments (questionnaires, guidelines, observations,
test end).
6. Develop learning groups of students
7. Planning group work

Stage of Action (action) includes:

1. Implementing measures in accordance with the planning.
2. Applying the model of classical learning.
3. Make observations on each of the steps according to plan activities.
4. Noting the existing allocation of time with the many activities that are
carried out.
5. Anticipating by finding solutions when encountering many obstacles
during the stages of activity.

Observing stage (observation), includes:

1. Discussions with teachers MTs. Nurul Islamic Islahil Kateng and
principals to plan observations.

2. Make observations on the application of classical learning model that

teachers do in class IX.
3. Take note of any changes and activities that occur during the
application of classical learning model.
4. Conduct discussions with teachers to discuss weaknesses or
deficiencies that teachers do as well as suggest improvements for the
next lesson.
Phase Reflection (reflection), includes:
1. Analyzing the findings during execution observation
2. Analyzing weaknesses and successes of teachers when applying
classical learning model and consider next steps.
3. Reflect on the application of classical learning model.
4. Reflect on the creativity of learners in learning English.
5. Reflect on learning outcomes of students.
CYCLE to-2
Planning Phase (planning), includes:
1. Evaluating the results of reflection, discussion, and seek improvements
to be applied to the next lesson.
2. List the problems and constraints faced while learning.
3. Designing a repair based on reflection cycle.
Stage of Action (action), includes:
1. Conduct analysis of problem solving.
2. Implement corrective actions using Mind Mapping application of
learning models.
Observing stage (observation), includes:

1. Make observations on the application of Mind Mapping learning

model.
2. Noting the changes.
3. Discussion addresses the problems encountered when learning and
provide feedback.
4. Develop recommendations.
Of each activity in Cycle 1 and Cycle 2, the expected result is to
1) Learners have the ability and creativity and are always actively
involved in the process of learning English
2) Teachers have the ability to design and implement an interactive
learning model with a special working group on English subjects,
and
3) An increase in students' achievement in English subjects. Analysis
of the data to better ensure the accuracy of data recording studies
performed in the video pictures. The data obtained are analyzed and
described in accordance with the existing problems in the form of
research reports. From the design of interactive learning and group
work tasks administration doing validation by peers and principals.
For learning to use creativity Students in observation and
questionnaires and to the acquisition of learning outcomes of
students used a quantitative description.
C. Schedule of Research
The research was conducted in two semesters of the school year 2011-2012,
from January until December 2012 and lasted for two months of the plan on an
