Assalamualaikum and firstly we would like to thanks to our Building Construction 2

lecturer, En Mohd Hanizan Bin Bahari because he helping us doing this assignment.
Your information and teaching had help us a lot. We'll also not forget to thanks to our
friends in classmate for helping us by giving ideas and many more. This assignment is
about brickwork. We do this assignment with site visit in Kompleks Niaga INOtrus at
Pengkalan Chepa, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. There are many contents about brickwork that
we all should know.

The assignment that we receive from our lecturer is about brickwork. From our
observation when we went to site visited, we know how this brick is make. We also
know the name of machine build the brick. We also know how machine is move and
what are procedure that the used. We interview some worker and management from
this company about our assignment. We get more detail information from them. We also
know what are the materials and what are the things that can build from brick. After we
receive the data from management, we record with capture image and write a note. At
the company, we look they more take care about safety first. Their worker used
Personal Protection Equipment(PPE). In that case, we also know the safety are most
important thing that we must know. From more detail about our assignment, we can

Abstract

The rapid development of the country today has resulted in the creation of the
Industrialized Building System (IBS - Industrialized Building System) which is a system
where the building structure is reduced to a few simple and easy part. In recent years,
the Malaysian government was supporting the use of IBS in the construction industry,
especially in terms of quality control, short construction periods, site conditions clean,
safe working environment and also the reduction the needs of workers as well as green
technology that can keep a little bit environment In this study, the advantages of the use
of IBS in the construction industry is focused on the reduction and control of
construction wastes generally minimizing waste at the construction site, which will lead
to the construction of a strong concept. Efforts to promote the use of IBS would not
have been possible without the involvement and support of the private sector. The study
was a questionnaire was conducted among one of the parties involved in construction
industry of project managers and surveyors. The results and opinions we have obtained
from the results of our study placement in Kelantan in the use of IBS is rather low and
low priority. However, the level of awareness about the benefits and effectiveness of IBS
in the construction industry are very encouraging. The use of iron in the conventional
building system produces the highest percentage of waste, but with the use of IBS,
building material wastage can be reduced by about 60% per cent. On the other hand,
the use of wood-based materials do not show significant savings in both conventional
and IBS.
