Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. Predict the ending of the story.
2. Find at least 5 correct contextual meaning using dictionary and reading passage.
Teaching Aids: Reader Card (1), flashcards, worksheet, dictionary
CCE/EE: Cooperation
Activities:
1. Teacher divides the pupils into pair and distributes the readers.
2. Randomly select a pair to read aloud the reader with intonation.
3. Using flashcards, teacher highlights the anticipated problematic words (Difficult to
pronounce) and pastes them on the board.
4. Pupils practice pronouncing the words.
5. Using dictionary and the reader, pupils list out the meaning.
6. Discussion.
7. Whole class reading and predicting the end of the story.

Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

Blend phonemes into words based on pictures, spell and pronounce

correctly and segment words into phonemes correctly based on pictures.

Read and understand sentences.

Match the sentence strips to the pictures and read with the correct
pronunciation.
Activities:
1.
Teacher asks pupils to recall the previous lesson.
2.
Teacher shows picture of people work.
3.
Teacher drills on the name of occupations and asks pupils to say aloud the
words and continue with reading simple sentences.
Eg: a. Teacher
I am a teacher. I teach pupils in school.
6. Class Activity (IQ BOX) (APPDX:D2.1)
Pupils are divided 7 in 5 groups.
Pupils pass around the box while teacher plays a people work song. When the music
stopped, pupil who is the last person hold the box should choose a one card and read
the content loudly, and answer the card correctly.
The game continue until pupils complete it in group.
7.LBI activities:
a. Display picture cards.(Appendix 3).
b. Distribute sentence strips to each pupil. (Appendix 4)
c. Pupils match the sentence strips to the corresponding picture.
d. The pupils read the sentences aloud.
