Why I chose this topic?
Autencity Reseacrh
In my study only discusses the factors of high rainfall and low.
The study was conducted in Thailand and need confirmation for other countries, and this research was
conducted in an area in Indonesia.
Literature Review
The first is DHF
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the 4 (four) Dengue virus
serotypes (DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3. DEN-4) and is characterized by the presence of clinical
manifestations of fever, headache, muscle aches and or joints accompanied by leukopenia,
lymphadenopathy, thrombocytopenia, bleeding and plasma leakage characterized by
hemoconcentration.
The second is rainfall
The definiton from rainfall is the amount of water that falls on a flat ground surface during certain
periods measured in height (mm)
This is my conceptual framework
Aedes aegypti (mosquito adults) will produce eggs. Because of the high rainfall, a breeding ground
for growing egg, thus causing sharply increased the number of larvae, the number of adult mosquitoes
will be rampant, and the result is increasing the incidence of dengue fever.

My research is analytic observational retrospective cohort study design
Location and research time
This study will be held at the Department of Health and BMKG.
Collecting data of this study lasted for one year.

Variable of research

 The independent variable is the high rainfall and low rainfall.

Dependent variable is the incidence of Dengue Cases in Sleman regency.
Operational definition
Patients with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever
Patients were diagnosed with dengue hemorrhagic fever (both clinical and laboratory) who
visited the medical service.
Rainfall of high
Rainfall in clarified by BMG included in the heavy category (51-100 mm / 24h) and very
heavy (> 100 mm / 24h) or heavy cumulative monthly rainfall (400-545 mm) and very dense
510-845 mm measured rain gauge using a tool or a graduated rain (rain gauge).
Instrument & material
BMKG data on rainfall to determine the rainfall in an area in Sleman.
Data on the incidence of dengue fever Sleman Health Department to determine the amount of
the incidence of dengue fever.
Analyze data
The data taken is the number of patients who are diagnosed incidence of dengue fever during the high
rainfall in the control group of patients who were diagnosed with dengue fever during low rainfall on
the same sample population.
Data normality was tested using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test

Discussion
Dengue Transmission usually occurs during the rainy season when the temperature and humidity are
conducive to building vector populations breed in habitats as well as for the survival of mosquitoes
again. Whereas in the dry zone where low rainfall during the dry season, high vector populations
accumulate in man-made storage containers.
Conclusion
In the middle heights area of Sleman, the incidence of dengue fever, is strongly influenced by
the high rainfall.
And there is no difference statistically significant mean between lowlands, middle heigths
lands and highland in Sleman.

p>0,05 yang berarti ketiga rata-rata dataran rendah, dataran sedang dan dataran tinggi
adalah identik.
