LETS REUSE WHAT WE USE TO HELP OUR ENVIRONMENT!


Topic: Reusing

Subject: Grade Time: one hour and 30 minutes.


English : 6th

Research Question:
The purpose of this research project is to know, what is the impact of using
figures of speech found in short poems about the preservation of the
environment, to enhance the interest of sixth grade students of the Real
Escandinavo School, not only to learn English, but also to take care of the natural
resources?
Objectives:
1. To identify the importance of reusing.
2. To use acrostic poems (rhyme and alliteration poems) to express feelings
and thoughts about re-using.
Materials:

Images of items that we can reuse.


Lets re use paper acrostic poem.

Procedure
1. Reviewing and Eliciting
The teacher will ask the students
about the previous class, What they
did, and will check on their
homework by asking these
question:
Did you tell a friend about
reducing?
What did you tell him/her?
For assessing about the new topic (reusing) the teacher will ask students if
they know what reusing is.

2. Warm up
The teacher will present different
images of the different items that we
have at home and we can reuse. ( see
attachment # 3.1)
The teacher will tell students to work in
pairs and think about other ideas for
reusing the items on the board. The
teacher will go over some of the ideas
the students have.
3. Vocabulary
With the help of the images of the
different items that we can use to
reuse (see attachment #3.1), the
teacher will introduce the new
vocabulary by the matching the items
images to their names.

bird seeds and finally they will tie a
lace on the tube so that they can hang

feeders on some trees around the
school.
6. Closure
The teacher will ask students some
questions to assess the class.
