Z-TRACK Technique
Used for parenteral IRON preparations
Retract the skin, inject slowly, hold retraction of the
skin until needle is withdrawn, do not massage

- Air Embolism (5ml of air) prime to remove air
- Change IV site and tubing every 72hours, bottle
every 24hours regardless how many cc is remaining
- Regulate every 15-30 minutes
