Have students pick 5 words from the
spelling list cards and 15 words from the
Dolch word cards. Have them create 2-3
sentences with a minimum of 5 words in
each sentence. Copy the sentences using
a capital letter at the beginning and
punctuation at the end. Word cards may
be used more that once.
3. Word Mats: Students pick a letter
card. If the letter, when placed in front
of the rime, makes a real word, they write
it on the left side of the page. If the word
is a nonsense word, they write it on the
right side of their page. -op
