Rationale: You often give people a certain perception of yourself without intending to do so or
even knowing about it. The intention of this survey is to help provide insight on how others
perceive you. Thus, if you are giving others an unintended impression, you have the opportunity
to change your behavior. This is a powerful tool and the first step in ensuring that you are
communicating in the manner intended.
Instructions: Write your name in the first blank of the following survey and then distribute it to
three to seven people whose opinion you value and in whom you trust. They may be friends or
acquaintances; the most important thing is that they are people who provide you with honest
opinions. Their names need not be included on the survey form. Collect the survey forms and use
them to complete this weeks assignment as outlined in the course syllabus.

He is different from most other people in most every way. He does not like what the average
person likes, and he holds himself to a much higher standard than the average person would
normally. He far from being the average person.

He is courteous and will not be impolite unless provoked. He will be the first to crack a joke,
probably at his own expense, to lighten the mood.

He is a very private person, and does not like for others to know what is going on in his world. He

nothing away.

He is professional when necessary. When at work, it is all about business and what is proper. He

He is forthcoming with his views and what he feels. He will not lie about something that he feels is
important to him, or important for the other person to know.

He is organized for the most part. He knows where the majority of his things are. This is not to be
mistaken with someone else being able to find his things.

He will take charge and get something done if it needs to be done. He will not sit and wait for
something to go wrong before he steps up. He will jump in and fix it before it becomes a problem.

Neither his tastes, nor his personality, are common. Because of this, I find him interesting. For
example, most things that he likes take an act of congress to obtain.

There is little that he doesnt know about, but the true example of his intelligence is that he is
upfront about subjects that he doesnt know about. He can tell you about almost everything, and if
the conversation turns to a topic that he is not familiar with, he will disclose that.

Although I would have picked an inbetween option if available, he is more energetic than lazy in
the sense of being unable to let a day just be wasted by doing nothing. He tries to accomplish
something each day, instead of just letting it waste by sitting all day.

It bothers him if there is a problem going on and he can not fix it for whatever reason. He will
spend all day trying to come up with some sort of solution for the issue.

others laugh, and is very laid back.

He does not like change. He likes things to be the way he wants them to be, and does not cope
well with things not being that specific way.

He can be trusted to hold a secret, handle a situation, as well as other things of that nature. The
only thing that is a little questionable is if he can be trusted to tell you about something he feels is
private.

He does not stand to have to depend on anyone for anything. He likes to be in charge of his own
life, and everything that comes along with that.

He is very blunt and honest with what he thinks. If he is telling you his opinion on something, you
can believe that it is his genuine opinion.

He has loads of common sense. He can figure out most situations just by thinking logically about
them.

If he is answering a question, he knows what he is talking about. If he isnt sure about it, he opens
his answer by saying he isnt sure.

He has been on his own since 17 and has taken care of business that entire time.

For the most part, he is stagnant. He does not like change, even when pertaining to himself.
However, if it is something of the upmost importance, he is not completely against it.

He does not really care to know about what is going on with other people. However, if someone
presents to him a problem that they have, he will not shun them away. He will offer up some
advice. He just doesnt actively try to find out what is going on in others worlds.

He has a habit of waiting until the last minute to get something done. However, he never waits so
long that the task cannot be done.

I am picking shy, but under the notion that I can redefine it. He does not go out of his way to
make friends, or to engage others. However, if someone engages him, he does not shy away
from the conversation.
