3500/05
Rack
Rack based design- 19 inch with 14 module slots and 12 inch with 7 module slots
Rack with internal barrier requires IS Earth connection to 3500/05 Rack
Panel mount option full size
3500/15
PS
Low Voltage 110 V AC
Low Voltage 24 V DC
Lower Slot- Primary Supply
Upper Slot- Secondary Supply
PS can be connected in any combination in a rack
3500/22
RIM/TDI
Are the 3500 rack Primary interfaces to the configuration, display and condition
monitoring software.
Adjacent to Power supply slot
TDI doesnt need external communication processor to interface with GE's Bently
Nevada System Machinery Management Software
RIM needs external communication processor such as TDXnet, TDIX, or DDIX to
interfaces Data Manager condition monitoring software
System configuration secured by means of two levels of software password
protection
Module can be connected to a port via front panel serial communications port for
local changes to configuration
RIM can also be permanently connected to a configuration workstation via a rear
panel serial communication port or to remote computer via optional Modem IO
module
TDI/RIM provides a reset switch to clear a latched alarms in the system as well as
LATCHED NOT OK condition
I/O module provides a set of rear panel connections as well, allowing users to
remotely activate this switch
3500/22M
TDI
TDI combines the capability of 3500/20 RIM with the data collection capability of a
communication processor such as TDXnet
TDI operates in the RIM slot of a 3500 rack in conjunction with the M series
montiors( 3500/40, 3500/42M) to continuously collect steady state and transient
waveform data and pass this data through an Ethernet link to the host software.
However using an optional disk will allow dynamic or transient data to be captured
as well.
Provides common function to the entire rack
Should always locate next to PS
TMR(Triple Modular Redundant) Requires TMR version of the TDI. It also performs
monitor channel comparison
TMR executes monitor voting using the setup specified in the monitor options.
Using this method, the TMR TDI continuously compares the output from three
redundant monitors.
If the TMR detects that the information from one of those monitors is no longer
than equivalent (within the configured percent) to the remaining two, It will flag
the monitor as being in error and place an event in the System Event List.
Note: Dozen of possible event conditions within a rack can drive NOT OK relay.
For this reason, it is not intended for use as part of a machinery auto-shutdown
circuit and should be used for general annunciation purposes only
Monitors
All monitors are microprocessor based and offer digitally adjustable Alert and
Danger setpoints for each channel
Users can configure alarms for latching and non latching alarms.
3500/25
Key Phasor Module
Has two input and one output. Two buffered outputs are available at the front of
the rack via coaxial connectors or at the rear of the rack via euro style connectors
Its a half height two channel module used to provide key phasor signals to the
Monitor module(I/O module) in a rack
Receives input signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups and converts
the signals to digital keyphasor that indicate when the keyphasor mark on the
shaft coincides with the keyphasor transducer.
Machinery Protection system can accept up to four key phasor signals for normal
configuration and up to eight keyphasor signals in a paired configuration.
Note: A keyphasor signal is a once per turn or multiple event per turn pulse from
a rotating shaft or gear used to provide a precise timing measurement. This allows
3500 monitor modules and external diagnostics equipment to measure shaft
rotative speed and vector parameters such as 1X vibration amplitude and phase.
