Question 1
Hiroto and Sakura are from Japan. They are 12 years old. They are good friends.
They go to the same school. They speak Japanese with each other. They can also
speak English. They use chopsticks to eat. At every meal, there is rice and fish.
Sushi is a popular dish in their homes. During festivals, they wear their traditional
costumes. Their traditional costume is the kimono.They usually go to the temple to pray.
The Japanese temple is called a pagoda. Before entering the temple , they take off
their shoes. The children also respect their parents and teachers. They bow down to
show respect. Hiroto and Sakura are very polite children. Sakuras hobby is making
paper-cranes. She folds them using coloured paper. The children enjoy learning
origami during their free time. They are happy and hardworking children. (Any possible
answers acceptable).
Question 2
It was the holiday season. There were many people taking the bus home to their
hometowns. The bus was full of people. Some people were sitting but those who got on
the bus later were standing in the bus. It was very crowded. The people in the bus
were waiting to reach their destination.
Pak Hamid, an old man was also waiting for the bus. He stopped the bus. He was
using a walking stick. He boarded the bus slowly because he was old and had a
hunch back.
Karim, a young man quickly got up from his seat and offered his seat to Pak Hamid.
Pak Hamid thanked Karim. He was very pleased with Karim. Karim had done a good
deed that day. (Any possible answers acceptable)
