LEADERSHIP FRAMEWORK

1. Philosophy of Education

Along with ensuring fair educational rights, individualizing student instruction, and
promoting community involvement, it is my belief that all educators should provide their
students with a quality education regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic status. Often
times, students are placed at an advantage or disadvantage depending on the socioeconomic
placement of the school. I see as the root cause of the lack of a childs overall personal, social,
and academic growth. Due to this, I have become an advocate at all levels to guarantee that this
type of injustice does not happen in my classroom, nor in the school where I will hold
administrative duties.

2. Philosophy of Leadership

When I consider my leadership philosophy, I believe that in order to become an effective

leader I must provide a systematic approach to following rules and regulations. I believe any
great leader should deem this as necessary because without rules in place, an organization can
quickly become chaotic. Norms are needed in any organization, particularly in schools. By
placing norms in the school with direct and explicit expectations of behavioral regularities in
relation to the students and teachers, administrators can build awareness that will essentially lead
to ownership.
On the contrary, I do understand that freedom is needed so that students and teacher will not
be afraid to implement innovative changes that could potentially lead to the academic growth, of
a class, school, or district.

Lastly, leaders must have goals to obtain. If not, those who work in the organization may
come complacent in their work ethic and accountability is quickly dismissed.

3. Vision for Learners

Students need to find a safe haven in the school they attend where there is order and
consistency to produce a sense of dependability. In addition, they need to feel loved and valued
by other students, teachers, and administrators. If I fail to create this culture and climate, students
may not have the desire to achieve academically because a healthy, loving relationship has not
been formed by those who have set high academic expectations for him or her. By using school
wide practices of expected behavior routines and consistent schedules, I am ultimately ensuring
the student that they are in an ordered, safe, and stable environment conducive to learning.

4. Vision for Teachers

The education profession is viewed as one of the most nurturing careers yet, and undeniably
is for people like me, who understand that most great teachers have to be personal and
compassionate beings. I aspire to develop a teaching faculty that is not only aware, but sensitive
to the needs of each individual child. I strongly believe that if you care about a student, you
should also be concerned with everything that encompasses their academic development and
success.
I seek to employ teachers who also value academic best practices school wide. This will
become a priority of mine because I know that if the educational staff has a shared agreement

that curriculum and instruction is vital to student success, it is more likely that I will be able to
higher new teachers with the same set of values. It also provides the educators the ability to
establish high educational expectations for all students, and it is easier to identify those teachers
that are in need of support.

5. Organization Vision
It is imperative to collaborate with all stakeholders who are a part of the school culture all
while ensuring that they feel like citizens of a welcoming, inclusive and engaging school.
School assemblies will be held frequently in efforts to collaborate with the community.
Stakeholder events such as these are a vital component in building trust and relationships with
students and other school members. The gatherings of families, teachers, students, and
administrators will be dedicated to showcase the achievements of the students in efforts to
increase self-esteem and pride.
I will also partner with community based programs in order to provide students with real
world experiences that they may be lacking at home and enable to students to be successful in
and out of school. I believe collaborations with mentoring programs such as Big Brother, Big
Sister will help students succeed academically.
6. Vision Attainment
It will be one of my first priorities to as a newly hired principal to form a distinctive culture
that collaborates beyond the teacher and the student without compromising high academic
expectations and the shared vision of the educational staff. I will make it a duty to collaborate

with all groups who apart of the culture all while ensuring that all feel like a member of a large
family, rather than an organization.
Teachers will be held accountable for their instruction and monitoring of student progress. In
addition, students are to be provided a quality education through the use increasingly intensive
instruction based off of data performance.
