understand during your practicum days to establish better relationships.
My Cooperating Teachers Expectation
Mr. Ricardo Molos expectation to us is to apply effective teaching strategies,
techniques and approaches in teaching. That we will be an effective teacher for
pupils and know how to disciplined children as well as teach learners well and
teach them how to behave, enhance their capabilities skills.

Likewise I also have expectations that I need to convey to my cooperating teacher

in order that my needs are also understood/met.
My Expectations
My expectations about our cooperating teacher who is Mr. Ricardo Molo is
that he will guide me as well as my co-interns on what are the best techniques,
strategies and methods in teaching our learners. He will also help us understand
how to deal with learners who have different learning capabilities and behaviours.
And of course, I really expect that he will give us some ideas on how to behave
like a professional and qualified teacher so that we are ready in facing the next
chapter of our life.

2. I fully realized that I need to read more on the developmental stages of:
I need to read more on the developmental stages of puberty stage because
some of the students in this developmental stage are 12-15 years old and they are
now curious about love and other things that involve opposite sex. Aside from the
physical changes that are happening to their body, they are very curious thats
why in this stage I need to understand the process of development they are going
through. Since we are handling Grade V pupils, some of them having crushes
thats why it is very important that me as a future teacher someday, I should be
more knowledgeable about what they feel so that learners will thought that I
understand what they are experiencing.
3. Characteristics of the learners/students you are teaching/handling:
Most of the Grade v pupils cannot be easily controlled. They always have
reason for everything. I really enjoyed teaching them because they are really
attentive and cooperative. But we cannot deny the fact that there are few that are
really slow in understanding their lessons. Some of them are also wild and hyper
wherein they always want to play and play. Sometimes, they talking about
nonsense and not related to the topic. But still, I enjoyed handling Grade V pupils
because they are fun and joyful.

On my first encounter with my cooperating teacher I realized that.

Being a professional teacher needs a lot of preparation. Were very lucky
because before we enter the classroom that we need to handle, our cooperating
teacher already orient us so that we already have the ideas on what should be the
behaviours of our learners. I realized that he really care for us because from the
very beginning, he reminded us that we should be aware for those students that
were really undisciplined. He also guides and help us on what should be done. He
really cooperates and asked about our ideas, most especially in improving
ourselves.
On my first dealing with the learners I observed that.
Strategies, techniques and approaches used were very significant because
if you prepare some unique strategies, it is easier for them to remember what you
have taught. Being strict and disciplined for them is the very important. Thats
why before we start our discussion we first set some rules and regulation for them
to remember in order to avoid problems.

I still have to overcome my fears.
Upon setting my foot inside the classroom I realized that I still need to
educate myself about fear and its impact to students because through these, I can
become more aware of important signs in teaching and more proactive toward
helping students feel more comfortable and confident. Also, many students
experience family challenges and face other stress factors that keep them from
performing well in the classroom. Having conversation with the learners about

their challenges and discussing ways to manage them may help them feel more
persistent to succeed. I also need to create a nurturing environment for learners
and ensure to have communication to them so that I have the idea on whats going
on with them.

After analysing the schools vision, mission and goals of Northwestern Visayan
Colleges

I realized that.
The school is really concern with the total development of the child. As
one of the interns that handling learners, I need to give quality education which is
stated in the schools vision. Also, I realized that the school really think on what
will be learners future because they want all their learners to achieve the best
education they deserve.

future teacher I need to serve as a positive role model to them and ensure that they

My Prayer

Oh God, please help me to become a good model to my students.

Help me to teach them how to live this life here on earth and to face every
struggle that we may encounter and to improve our worth.
Not just the lessons in a book, but to choose the proper path wherever they may
go.
To understand eternal truth, and know right from wrong. Help me to be fair to all
oh God without judging them.
Help me to make my learners more motivated and be interested for all our
lessons.
