The Department of Education has commissioned the Private Education Assistance Committee
(PEAC) to manage and implement the In-Service Training program for school administrators and
teachers of ESC participating schools since SY
2001-2002. The in-service training (INSET) is a capacity building program that addresses the
need of private school administrators and teachers to strengthen and continuously upgrade the
quality of their schools' instructional programs. The INSET is a program mandated by the GASTPE
Law (R.A. 8545) that emphasizes the need for the Department of Education to implement
programs to improve the quality of education in the country by maximizing the use of resources
in the private education sector.
In view of this, the PEAC supports the implementation of K
to 12 Program this June
2016 and through its National Secretariat is undertaking a faculty development program for
private junior high school
teachers
nationwide.
PEAC is pleased to invite your JHS teachers to the teacher training for private high schools in
various venues in the country as indicated below. In response to the needs of two types of
trainees, the newly hired or probationary teachers and the permanent or senior teachers - a twotrack training program shall be provided this April and May 2016.
