Hyssop, Giant Yellow

Agastache nepetoides
Family: Lamiaceae
Herbaceous perennial. Native to the central, eastern and southern United States.
Tolerates dry, rocky soil. Makes impressive, yellow, dense racemes which rise to a
height of 3 to 5 feet. Native medicine, used as a poultice for treating poison ivy rash.
Makes a good tea. For purposes of seed-saving, plant far from Mint, Licorice
(Agastache foeniculum) with which it will cross-pollinate. Space plants 1 foot apart.
