OPENING PRAYER - BIRTHDAY

Our Father in heaven, we thank you for all the blessings you bring into our lives. Our
thoughts now are especially on the gift of life, of abundance, of friendship and of
accomplishments. It is because we know that these gifts are of Your love given to us as a
blessing to fulfill our existence.
Lord Jesus, on this happy day we thank you for the joy ___________________ has
brought and will bring more for Your glory. Through all the years of her life you have
watched over her to bring us all together gathered to magnify and thank you.
We thank you for our celebrator today for all the love she has for one another; and
her commitment to serve her best her family after _______ 65 years of dedicated
government service. We pray, O Lord, that her love & commitment will only grow stronger in
the days and years to come.
Now Lord, united in prayers, please bless her. Redeemed by your Precious Blood
and strengthened by your grace, may she live in kindness and in an unfailing sacrifice and
affection so that her whole life may be pleasing to You.
Lord Jesus, keep _________________ in your motherly care. May her birthday
today on earth lead to that eternal life in which all the blessed will be joined together,
praising the Redeeming Blood of Jesus, our Lord.

PRAYER BEFORE MEALS

Heavenly Father, Your love is one of your most beautiful gifts that exists and will
continue to exist between us. And now we are celebrating that love with MRS. DELIA
BARLAN on her 65th birthday celebration today, including her retirement from 41 years of
dedicated and selfless government service at the Department of Agriculture.
Give her always, God, the wisdom and devotion in the ordering of her common life,
that she may be strength in need, a counselor in perplexity, and a comfort in sorrow and a
companion in joy. Make her life together with us a sign of Christs love. Continue bestow on
her the gift and heritage of her children and the grace to bring them up to know you and to
serve others and above all, you, o Lord. Give her such fulfillment in her affection for all that
she may reach out wholeheartedly with affection and concern for others.
And so, Father, we want to thank you for this day and the days to come when all
your blessings are bestowed upon us and served to nourish our bodies. Please bless all
that we are about to partake today your blessings which are about to be shared.
We ask you then to bless those who have prepared for it that they may continue to
share their blessings to everyone and to continue receive your graces.
We ask you to take part and take place in our tables and are our special guest. As
this food nourishes our body and mind, let your spirit feeds our soul and bless those who
have none that may find courage and strength through your will.
All these we pray in Jesus name. Amen.
