Short description from An alternative school is a school that, in contrast to regular schools has an
the host organization
alternative educational approach and wants to organize learning differently
than usual. Free school means private school (= non-state) ownership,
however, it swings the importance of self-directed learning and selforganization. So many rules of children, adolescents and adults to decide on
an equal footing. The basic trust in the original learning and social human
capacity is the starting point of our school concept. Everyone is always curious
and willing to learn. It is largely independent of productive addressing to solve
conflicts with yourself and capable with other people.
Our school model pays special attention to the possibility of its own internal
dynamics of realization and development within an open, by the participating
children and adults variable structures.
The school design includes the primary level (grades 1-4) and lower secondary
(grades 5-10). The free alternative school Dresden sees itself as a sustainable
form of school. Past successes have encouraged us to work for the purposes
