The Static electricity is phenomenon of separated opposite charges or the Imbalance

of electro static charges.
The Current Electricity is phenomenon which develops due to the flow of charges. The
electricity we get from cell and from power stations are forms of current electricity.
Bryti: Sir, What is the difference between electricity of a Cell and Wall outlet?
Prof. Shock: Good! On the basis of direction of flow of charges there are two types of
Current Electricity
- Direct Current Electricity (D.C.)and
- Alternating Current Electricity (A.C.).
Tyrti: Direct Current electricity; do we get it
directly from any object or source?
Prof. Shock: No! In Direct Current electricity
the charges always keeps flowing in one
direction.

Prof. Shock: In Alternating Current electricity the charges the charges keeps moving
back and forth direction. Which mean the direction of flow of charges is alternating. The
change in direction of flow of charges changes the polarity of Supply source.
In 1888 Nikola Tesla designed first alternating current generating system and with help
of George Westinghouse he set up the first commercial AC power station at Niagara
fall. The Alternating current electricity is represented by a sine wave.
