Welcome to the Austin MS 6th Grade Band. I have compiled the following information in order to guide you in the
process of obtaining a quality instrument. The instruments listed are the ones I feel will best serve your child's needs.
These beginning quality instruments were selected because of their value and durability. Please contact Mrs. Lough
before obtaining an instrument different than these. The chance for the students success is much greater if he or she
has a quality instrument.
(REMEMBER-the mouthpieces and accessories that are listed are a must!)

WOODWINDS
Flute:

Yamaha 261 open-holed flute with offset G

Tuning Rod
Handkerchief/Bandana (for cleaning inside of flute)
Silver polish cloth for cleaning outside of flute

Clarinet:
