for what she learned. Another mother, Mrs. L shared that in her 1 st
pregnancy she thought that what came out of her breast was pus
since she did not know anything about colostrum but with what she
learned after the health education session, she now understood
that it was not pus but colostrum and contained nutrients including
antibodies to protect her baby from pathogenic microorganisms.
She checked her babys umbilical cord and made sure that it was
kept dry, was not swollen and had no foul odor. Another mother, Ms.
M added that she observed that her breasts had more milk in this
pregnancy. She realized that it was because she ate more
vegetables and fruits this time compared to her 1st pregnancy.

1.3.e. Planned Drainage System at Purok Forever, Phase I, Sta. Cruz

Village, Olingan, Dipolog City, School of Engineering
-

The first activity for the Extension Project, dated July 30, 2015 was for
Engr. Rodel Yunting to visit the City Planning Office to secure a copy of
the map of Purok Forever, Barangay Olingan as well as the topographic
map. Unfortunately, there is no available topographic map, only the
vicinity map.

There was an Ocular Inspection in Purok Forever, Barangay Olingan

with the barangay officials along with Engr. Claro D. Cervantes Jr., Engr.
Domingo C. Basadre Jr., Mr. Julius B. Elopre, Miss Evelyn A. Luna, other
department heads and the Nursing faculty. It was agreed by all that the
major problem of Purok Forever is the absence of a drainage system but
upon consulting the City Engineering Office, it was found out that they
already have a plan to improve the drainage system. They also said that
it required a large amount of money and workforce to do the proposed
improvement of the said drainage system.

Currently, the School of Engineering is looking for another extension

project for Purok Forever, Barangay Olingan that will be feasible and
beneficial to both parties.
