Sportsfest 2015 ends with a blast!

September 30-October 2, 2015 was indeed a very special


week for the Elementary and High School Department as the
students and teachers celebrated Sportsfest. Several activities
which include indoor and outdoor games were carefully lined up
to provide the high school and elementary students opportunities
to showcase their skills and abilities in different sports.
Students from different sections were grouped into four
teams and faculty staffs were assigned to organize and supervise
each team. The four teams included the Green Goblins headed by
Ms. Danica Acenas, Mr. Leynard Alegado and Mr. Ronnel Corpuz,
Yellow Barbarians supervised by Mrs. Geraldine Fernandez, Mr.
Jaymark Agsi, and Ms. Danica Afu, Red Giants under Mrs. Roselyn
Alegado, Mr. Mark Obispo, and Mrs. Christine Joy Abejon, and Blue
Warriors led by Mr. Raymart Ancho, Mrs. Raquel Gambol, and Mr.
Roy Alegado.
The celebration was commenced by the parade of teams
followed by an opening program held at the High School
Quadrangle. The prayer was led by --- and the opening remarks
was given by --.
The afternoon of the first day and the next days were spent
on different sports; volleyball, basketball, table tennis, athletics,
chess, scrabble, and sepak takraw.
The points acquired by each team were tallied. From this
data, the 3rd runner up were Blue Warriors, the 2nd runner up were
Red Giants, the 1st runner up were Yellow Barbarians and the
Grand Champion for Sportsfest 2015-16 were Green Goblins.
Several group and individual recognitions were also given.
For basketball juniors, Mark Andrie Fernandez from Green Golbins,
John Gabrielle Viernes from Yellow Barbarians, Gerland Andrei
Cuevas from Green Goblins, Gil Anthony Zapatero from Yellow
Barbarians, and were the Mythical 5. Gerland Andrei Cuevas
from Green Goblins was the MVP. In basketball seniors, Marbin

Cacuyog from Red Giants, Marbin Cacuyog from Red Giants was
the MVP.

Japan, Champion on Spike for Peace!


The partners, Ayumi Kusano and Akiko
Hasegawa, continues their teamwork who represents Japan on the
game wherein the dominated, 21-19, 21-12 to bring the trophy of
Spike for Peace International beach volley tournament last Dec 3,
2015 held at the Philippine Sports Arena.
Kusano, one of the best indoor players
wherein their teamwork is the main reason why they subjugate
the said event and bring home the Top Prize worth $8,000.
Anne-Lie Rininsland and Karin Lundqvist who were
the tallest players didnt focus on the game in Japanese pairs in
all-around game and contented as a runner-up that has a prize
worth $5,000.s
Indonesia got the third place trophy after the list of
21-16, 19-21, 15-8 win against Brazil on beach volleyball event
that is organized by PSC.
Juliana Dhita and Dini Putu brought home the prize
worth $4,000, while the Brazilians were contended on the $3,000
prize.
