Our mission at United Drone Delivery Service is to deliver lightweight packages timely and
seamlessly. Richard Shaw created this company in January of 2014 with the thought to build a
different, more efficient delivery service. The company strives to listen to its customers and solve
customer problems with simplicity. Our commitment is to provide customers with an effortless
experience.
Creator:
Richard Shaw is the creator of United Drone Delivery Service. Shaw has been working for two
years to perfect its services and has finally released it for use. Shaw picked this new idea after
working in the delivery field for over ten years and witnessing the failures of current delivery
services.
Goals:
To deliver packages weighing under 55 pounds promptly and efficiently to a rapidly growing
community using drones. United Drone Delivery Services long-term goal is to have multiple
locations throughout the southeast to cover more areas as the community continues to grow and
develop.
Location:
United Drone Delivery Service is located in a warehouse just north of Atlanta in Kennesaw, right
off of I75 on exit 273.
Drones:
Our delivery method is an aircraft without a human pilot aboard. The flight may operate either
under remote control by a human operator, or fully or intermittently autonomously, by onboard
computers. The software the drones will be using is called autopilot which is a real-time system
that requires rapid response to changing sensor data.
